There's never a moment's rest for Katie Holmes who was absolutely stunning out to help honor her husband at last night's Moving Image Black Tie Salute Honoring Tom Cruise in NYC. She and Posh are looking pretty similar in the hair dept these days, especially when Katie has it all straight like that. It looks like most of the women took the black tie part of the event very very literally with their choice of dress color, including Ellen Barkin and Julianne Moore. The museum's director talked about why they choose Tom, "Salutes are traditionally actors or directors...Some of these actors and directors are also multitasking, and Tom Cruise is one of them. His position with United Artists puts him into a whole new phase of his career, and that makes it a perfect time to honor him." Congrats to Tom, but (cheese alert) what better prize could he want more than Katie's infectious smile.

The hits keep on coming for Britney, and not in the good way. First off, early projections for her album were overestimated. While predictions said she would sell 350,000 albums, it turned out to be only 290,000. That news is not the only major blow to Brit's ego. Blackout was supposed to technically be No. 1 on the charts but Billboard decided to change the rules this week and include record sales from single retail outlets. This means The Eagles, who debuted their album exclusively at Walmart and sold over 700,000 copies, bumped Britney out of the top spot by a longshot.

Oh but we're not done yet. Broke lame ass Kevin Federline is now making Britney pay for his legal bills. The man with a great PR campaign has turned his image around as the good parent in this couple and no matter how much he claims he doesn't care about the money, clearly he wants and needs the help. The judge has ordered Britney to pay up $120,000 to cover legal expenses. Just when things started to look like they were headed in the right direction for Spears she gets smacked down. What's next?

We've been patiently waiting for the return of Project Runway for over a year now and it's finally almost here. To get us even more fired up for the big November 14 premiere, Heidi and her beautiful blue dress were joined by Tim Gunn and Nina Garcia last night for the first ever Project Runway preview fashion show. Fab has all the runway looks, and according to the judges, Season 4 showcases some of the most promising candidates the series has ever seen. Heidi asserted that they "made sure of" the skills this year. And Tim said, "This is the first season I've said any one of the designers is talented enough to win the entire season." Have we mentioned that we can't wait?

Lindsay Lohan was hiding behind her sunglasses and favorite skull hat covering up her now nappy extra long blond locks. The starlet has managed to stay out of trouble but of course not everything in LL's life can be drama-free. Apparently, someone faked a myspace account under Riley's name and wrote stories attacking Dina's reality show. However, In Touch reports, Riley said, "I don't even have myspace. Someone is obviously pretending they are me. I definitely didn't say any of those things because I don't even have a myspace account, what a joke!" There are plenty of imposters out there, but knowing his track record and LL's many friends who have betrayed her, we wouldn't put it past Riley to cause some trouble.

Last night the stars came out to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Butter, the Manhattan club that has proved to be a favorite celebrity haunt since it opened its doors. Taye popped over post Glamour Women of the Year party while Heidi and Mandy swung by after picking up their ACE Awards. Jamie Lynn-Sigler was happily out to support her boyfriend Scott Sartiano, one of Butter's owners. Though perhaps she should consult Bella about the best bangs for her face shape. Overall, it looks like plenty of stars wanted to celebrate the club's 5 year anniversary, which means we'll most likely continue to hear about the scandalous moments that happen inside.

The women of the ACE Awards posed all by themselves on the red carpet, but once the party got started inside it was all about some mismatched heights. Helena Christensen towered over the blue-haired Marc Jacobs while Mandy Moore totally dwarfed Jessica Simpson in this picture. Lucy Liu was more eye to eye with her Lipstick Jungle wardrobe consultant Patricia Field.
