According to People, Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn are divorcing. The couple has been together since the early 90s, married for eleven years and have two kids, who are 14 and 16. Their rep confirmed the sad news, but declined to comment any further at this time.
We always hate hearing about longtime couples breaking up, especially when there are children involved. Hopefully the family can keep things civil with the split.

Britney Spears emerged for the first time since her ridiculous weekend for a trip to Starbucks (obviously) in jeans before dressing down in sweats for dinner at a Thai joint in LA. She and Kevin arranged to both spend time with the boys on Christmas, but according to Page Six she acted like a bit of a brat bragging to Kevin about what she bought the boys and refusing to give them presents from her parents. Meanwhile, amid rumors that Jamie Lynn's baby daddy might not even be Casey Aldridge (um, whatever), the people of Kentwood have voiced their ongoing support of the Spears girls. Not a bad idea for both of them to be home for a while. Hey, at least she wasn't the one making headlines last night. So, here's to Brit ending 2007 with no big news, fingers crossed. Jessica Alba braved the post-Christmas sales with a vengeance yesterday taking advantage of the sweet year end deals. In more exciting news, how about that big old honking diamond engagement ring on her finger? The day after she announced her pregnancy we noticed a band (maybe this ring turned around) and then we heard that they weren't planning a shotgun wedding. But now, her rep confirms that the couple is, in fact, engaged to be married. Congrats again to Jess and Cash! Whether or not they wait until their new addition to actually tie the knot, we'll have to wait and see. Mischa Barton covered up in the backseat of her mother's Mercedes Thursday morning after being released from jail following her DUI arrest.
After last night's DUI (and the requisite public mugshot), Mischa Barton's mother bailed her out this morning. She was caught by the paparazzi looking understandably coy sneaking out of the police station and into the backseat of her mom's Mercedes (here's video, kind of). I mean, it's no iconic Paris cop car photo, but you can see a distraught Mischa heading home. TMZ has some more details about her arrest, saying that she was pulled over when she was spotted "straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn" and when the cop pulled her over it was clear she had been drinking (and didn't have a valid license...and about those narcotics...).
