We were super stoked yesterday afternoon when a reader sent in these pics of Jessica and John! How cute! Though they were in LA as recently as Monday morning, the two have since jetted off for the Midwestern leg of John's tour and were spotted in Minnesota on Monday evening. Looks like Jess will be around for a romantic Valentine's with her new man. The couple was at a local bar, Bunkers, to see some friends of John's play and he even did a little performing of his own. Jess was described as "tiny (really skinny!!) and sooooooo nice and cute!" Here's more:

She ate a cheeseburger and had a vodka/water. They were only there for
like an hour, but I guess they were really cool and were taking pictures
with everyone. Jessica wouldn't take pics while John was playing on
stage b/c she wanted to watch him. But I guess she was hanging out and
saying fans are what she loves and didn't mind taking pics w/
people!!!!!! OMG!

Leo may be an Oscar nominee for his work in Blood Diamond but he is already looking for his next chance to score some gold. DiCaprio has just signed on to star in and produce a film based on the bestseller Conspiracy of Fools about the bad boys of Enron. Knowing that Leo only gets involved in top-notch films these days we can't wait to see what he does in this new role. In the meantime, we are still fixated on this year's Oscar nominee. Nicole and Joel stepped out for some take-out in LA this week. They can try all they want to go incognito, but something about a couple in matching hats is always going to call a little bit of attention. At least it's nice to see that Nicole's got herself a proper driver -- lord knows we don't need her on the streets more than is necessary. I wonder what Joel is doing for Nicole for V-Day. Hopefully not getting her more bracelets, cause I'm not sure where she would put them.

Drew stopped by David Letterman the other night to promote Music and Lyrics. The two got to reminisce about her infamous appearance on the show back in 1995 when she gave David a birthday dance he will never forget. David says he holds that night close to his heart and often brings it up with his friends. Here's more:

"I remember celebrating your birthday one year," said Barrymore, who turns 32 on Feb. 22.

"That was great," replied Letterman, who will be 60 on April 12. "Now is there a chance that you might do anything like that again?"

Barrymore said that's not likely.

"Turning 32, I think I'm not a different person 'cause I'm certainly, you know, as wild and free-spirited as ever, but I'm just really glad I had that opportunity and got that out of my system, because I'm not so sure if …"

"… You don't think you'd do it now is what you're saying," Letterman said.

A seemingly wistful Letterman thanked Barrymore for the water cooler moment.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity. It was lovely," he said. "And it's still something I think about and talk about and tell my friends."

It may sound creepy, but if you watch the clip from last night he's obviously just teasing her about causing such a stir. It's still hard to imagine that the Drew seen here is the same Drew as the wild child from back in the 90s. I remember watching that clip like it was yesterday. Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett were on hand for the premiere of Notes on a Scandal at the Berlin International Film Festival this week. Judi is up for Best Actress for her role in the film but don't tell her to break a leg at the ceremony. The Oscar winner will already be getting her leg broken - literally when she goes in for knee surgery. She says she'll be watching the ceremony from her bed! We hope her surgery goes well, and who knows, by the end of it she could have another Oscar to put on her mantel!

Britney Spears has left New York. In her wake lies a city changed, one Duane Reade ravaged, a go-go girl without an outfit and a few thousand more people who have heard of the club Tejune. I gotta say, it's good to see that she is leaving the city that never sleeps, so hopefully she can finally get some. At least it appears that she is still in possession of two children (one under blanket, I assume). Hey, maybe she's heading back to get her life in order and take care of the kiddies and record her comeback album and shower with regularity and all that! Well, while I hope that's the truth, I'm not holding my breath.

The Chicago development group that's heading up Nicky's new hotel filed a lawsuit yesterday for breach of contract over the delayed project. According to them, Nicky supposedly contracted out interior design work she was supposed to do herself and then attempted to charge it back to the developer! The group also claims that Nicky and her "associates" were much less qualified in design than they claimed. As expected, Elliot Mintz was on hand to set the record straight. Here's more:

"Things are not always as they appear," he said. "When the facts surrounding this matter are known to the public I think you will find out that the person who has been most impacted by this action will be Nicky Hilton. … In the meantime, I don't think anybody should draw any conclusions based on the simple filing of a lawsuit."

We're not too worried about Nicky. Somehow we think this will all just go away like most bad press that involves the girls.

What's up with Nick Lachey looking better than ever these days? It's like he's finally not just a dude from a boyband, but a good looking man in his own right. He may never be my type (you know, beefy, jocky, spikey hair-y), but I do understand his appeal. Now that the football season is over (he is quite the fan, after all) and he's got some time on his hands, perhaps he should follow the Backstreet Boys lead and get the old band back together. Or something.
