Matthew and Kate took some time away from shooting Fool's Gold to hang out with Cameron's buddy Kelly Slater at the Quicksilver Pro over the weekend. Kate may be back with Owen, but that doesn't mean she can't make time for hot bare-chested friends. Matt wasn't just at the event for pleasure, though; he was also doing research for a new surf film he's doing. Here's more:

I'm learning to surf," said McConaughey, who lived in Australia for a year as a Rotary exchange student in the late 1980s.

And McConaughey said he wasn't just visiting the season-opening world surfing contest for pleasure. "The next film I'm doing is a surf film," he revealed. "A lot of this is for leisure and pleasure but also looking around and keeping an eye open for what happens and what goes on in the tournaments."

It's no secret that MM loves to surf, so it's funny that he still considers himself an amateur considering all those hours he spends on the beach.

Jess and John's romantic meet-up in NY may be over, but the purchases from their day shopping together will last forever (or as long as they're deemed acceptable by Jess, which is probably more like two weeks). These pictures are pretty much unnoteworthy, but it's nice to see them both smiling together (see, it's not all Jess looking clingy) and, as usual, I'm pretty into their matching flowing locks.

It's no secret that Paris is one of the many celebrities that sports hair extensions almost year-round. Now she's taken the wide world of processed hair one step further and is designing her own line called DreamCatchers. Paris spent the weekend in Chicago launching the product line, but it wasn't her first visit to the Midwest. In fact, she often frequents Chicago for the shopping and the... shopping. She said: "I love Chicago, I think it's great... Great shopping, it's a little cold. But, I've been here. I went to the Chicago Bears game and been to movie premieres here and come here for shopping."

Luckily Paris had these super long curls to keep her warm in the windy city. Paris is taking on Jessica in the fake hair department. We smell a QVC sales competition!

Nicole Richie laughs in the face of dehydration. She may have spent a little of her Friday evening visiting her friendly local ER, but by Saturday Nicole was ready to hit the town with her man. Hey, never let it be said that Nicole lets pesky nuisances like DUIs or hospitalizations get in the way of her night life. Meanwhile, Nicole and Joel have both been sporting bands on their wedding fingers lately. I'm choosing to see them as some sort of commitment to each other thing rather than thinking that these two ran off and got married for real somewhere. Even they're not that impulsive, right? Yeah, who knows.

Over the weekend Katherine didn't look like she had a care in the world while on a shoot for Nautica at Seal Beach. She's obviously making a little cash on the side since she's not too happy with her current salary at Grey's. Things blew up last week after ABC and Touchstone went public with their side of negotiations but evidently what happens off the set is not affecting Katherine's relationships with her co-stars. At least not with Kate Walsh or Sara Ramirez. The two came to Katherine's defense this week and said that she's not allowing it to affect her work. Here's more:

She's a super-talented girl," Kate Walsh told PEOPLE on Sunday at the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment Dreamgirls luncheon in Beverly Hills. "Everyone's just working hard."

As for contract renegotiations Walsh, whose character Addison Shepard is the subject of a possible Grey's spinoff, said, " I literally just worked with Katherine the other night. We just go to work. I don't know – I don't really get into all the stuff. Everybody is doing their own thing with negotiations."

One of Heigl's other costars, Sara Ramirez, says of the actress who plays Izzie Stevens on the hit ABC show, "She's lovely....Everybody's very professional – not just Katherine – but everybody else too."

We wouldn't doubt that Katherine would be professional about the whole thing through and through. Sounds like things are starting to settle down on the set which is a good thing since the off set drama is starting to outshine the actual show itself.

Tobey and Jennifer introduced their precious little 4-month-old baby, Ruby, to the Hawaii waves this weekend. The new parents couldn't look more thrilled to be sharing this moment with their little nudey booty baby. Wheee! Fun! Babyganza '07 continues! I love family man Tobey, but I gotta admit I'm starting to get excited for the Spider-Man Tobey to kick into high gear (ask me how I feel in a month when you can't go two steps without seeing an ad) starting with the sneak peek at Spider-Man 3 tonight.

So now that it's all babies all the time 'round these parts (we can't help it, how could you not post all these pictures?), here's some more of the always precious Jolie-Pitt clan (now with 100% more Jolie than last week) out for their standard morning constitutional in New Orleans. Maddox is off at school so he has to miss the stroll, but the rest of the clan looks quite stunning basking in the NO sun. Though now that they're planning to add a new bebe to their brood, it looks like they're going to have to invest in a bigger stroller contraption.

After Keith's very public stint in rehab and his three months away from Nicole, it's no surprise they decided to take a romantic holiday together in St. Barth. Obviously these two are taking right up where they left off last fall. It's great to see the casual side of Nicole after the glammed up Oscar version. Keith obviously is crazy about her no matter what she has on. From the look of it, their future will be filled with long walks on the beach from here on out.
