Sharon Stone is on the set of a new movie which is clearly different than her slut role in Basic Instinct. She looks beyond fug. In fact, she looks so thin she looks sick. In the movie, which is called Rockett, she plays Jimmy Fallon's mom. Luckily Lucy Liu is also in the film so between Jimmy and Lucy there is still something attractive to look at on the big screen. I'm actually surprised Sharon took this role - she doesn't like people to think of her as old and this film will definitely not help her there.

I'm hoping that Jessica Simpson is in costume for Major Movie Star already, because she was looking a little ridiculous in this blue gown around LA on Friday. I mean, seriously, Miss America called -- she wants her evening wear competition dress back (groan). It is nice, however, to see a big ol' smile on Jessica's face. And why wouldn't she be happy, she's making her way as an actress and still expanding that empire of hers with her new fragrance. Just goes to show that there's no need to know the difference between chicken and fish to make it in Hollywood!

We all know by now that Matt and Ben have caught the surfing bug while vacationing in Hawaii, and now Jen is getting in on the action too! Looks like Jen is getting the hang of it faster than the boys, not to mention that she looks like she's having way more fun. All those years of kicking butt on Alias probably helped the natural athlete pick up the new sport. Jen and Ben also celebrated their 2nd anniversary today, and while we heard they were planning a pretty quiet day at home, we think this is a much better option - how cute are they riding side by side on the same wave?

Kate Hudson is spending her pre-Independence Day weekend in romantic Paris, hanging out with billionaire Ron Burkle. She is always so darn cute -- even when she looks like she's draped in a blanket. Who knows whether there's anything going on there, but at least he's probably taking her out for some pret-ty nice meals!

Penelope Cruz was looking cool and casual as she roamed the streets of Soho yesterday. Unfortunately, it sounds like the rest of her day wasn't quite so breezy. Apparently Penelope had a problem on a flight to Barcelona last night and had to get off the plane shortly after it left the gate in Newark. Some say she freaked out and may have had a panic attack, while her rep claims that Penelope just wanted to wait out a storm in the area. Either way, it sounds like Penelope created quite a fuss for her fellow fliers, but at least they got a good celebrity sighting out of it.

Last night Qatar Airlines thew themselves a little party to celebrate their inaugural flight into NYC, and some celebs came out to play. It's a little odd to see Maggie & Peter with Melania & Donald -- maybe they talked babies? Meanwhile, how pretty is Andie MacDowell's daughter? She's a definite looker, just like her mom. Hilary Duff looked good in a semi-bizarre red dress performing on The Today Show yesterday. She just loves herself some aggressive hoop earrings! She's obviously super fit these days, but she kept her fabulous abs all covered up -- probably for the best. Performing in a bikini is weird. Doesn't she remind you of Minnie Mouse a little bit?

Elisha Cuthbert looks all calm and normal shopping at Bristol Farms in LA yesterday but she's about to get her scary movie on. The actress screamed with co-star Paris Hilton in The House of Wax where they obviously became buddies and learned to share outfits now made famous by Paris' exit from jail. This Friday the 13th she will star in another horror flick, Captivity, where she'll play a model who is on top of the world and then gets kidnapped. Personally I am not a huge fan of the horror genre (blame it on Poltergeist) and I prefer to see her in 24 or even the surprisingly cute The Girl Next Door.
