It's been a big past couple of weeks for Minnie. Not only did her second album, Seastories come out on the 17th, but she got an Emmy nom in Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series for The Riches! After an iffy start, I ended up loving the dark series, so I couldn't be happier for Minnie. I just hate that I have to wait so long for Season 2.

Anne Hathaway looked stunning at the premiere of her new movie Becoming Jane in NYC last night. In the film, Anne plays Jane Austen during a turning point in Jane's romantic life and writing career. At the premiere, Anne talked about one of her contemporaries who is at a turning point as well. She had this to say about Lindsay Lohan, "I actually think that it has nothing to do with temptation. When you're talking about addiction, you're talking about disease." It sounds like she is on the same page as LL's lawyer. As for the movie at hand, Anne had this to say about playing the role of the literary icon:

"I inherited the image of Jane Austen as a sort of a dried-out old spinster. And in doing my research I found she was anything but that. She was wonderfully alive, very fun, a bit naughty and so much, so much more alive than I'd ever thought. And so it was wonderful, the idea of playing the woman before the icon."

Paul Rudd was looking cute as a button as he showed up for his appearance on Late Night With David Letterman yesterday afternoon. Who would've thought that Josh from Clueless would just get dreamier and dreamier over the years. It's a good thing that he is happily married with one baby and another on the way -- else you know those starlets would be clamoring to get a piece.

Conveniently timed, Matt Damon received the 2,343th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today as he kicks off his promotional tour for the latest and most likely last Bourne movie. Damon even got a new suit for the occasion! He usually goes for the greyish look like when he left his mark with his Ocean's boys but today tan was his color of choice. Too bad the adorable actor couldn't get new shoes to match. Here's what Matt had to say about his special star:

"I can't believe I'm standing on a star with my name on it. I'm going to show my kids that... Ben and I lived in a really crappy apartment about five blocks away from here and we used to walk up and down here. It'll probably sink in when I've walked down the street in about six months and see someone peeing on my star," he laughed.

Hilarious. Well at least he knows what to expect with the future of his star. Stay tuned for more of Damon and his lucky wife Luciana Barroso at his LA premiere that happens later this evening. Maybe he'll get a new pair of shoes in between events.

Hilary Duff hit Hyde last night to ensure some last minute partying before she kicks off her tour in Canada on Sunday. Partying isn't the only thing she's trying to fit into her busy life - apparently Hilary denied autographs to some young fans at a restaurant in Texas last week, saying that she doesn't get to spend enough time with her family. This sounds a little unlike the sweet Hilary we're so used to writing about, but we guess even bubbly starlets have bad days.

John Mayer and Selma Blair (hey, they rhyme!) posed for these intimate portraits as part of a Fall ad campaign for The Gap. The series, shot by Annie Leibovitz, is called Classic Redefined and has each of the celebrity models showing off a signature Gap piece — like John in the sweater vest and Selma in the deep v-neck. I can't wait to see the full set of ads (including actors from Forest Whitaker to Lucy Liu), which will run in September issues of fashion mags and in Gap stores. More importantly, how great does Selma look and how smoldering is John? Yowza.

Jennifer showed off a touch of skin in NYC with Marc while the two continue to promote El Cantante. These two obviously love working together and it was just announced that during their upcoming tour one dollar for every ticket sold will be donated to help fight childhood obesity. Jennifer said in a Press Release, "When I was a kid, we spent most of our time outside visiting in the neighborhood with friends. This is the first generation of kids who are so sedentary and the first whose parents might outlive them. We really need to be active in encouraging healthy eating and the joys and fun of exercising." It sounds like she and Shaq have something in common.

The humans behind our favorite yellow family and some of their other famous friends came out in LA last night to celebrate the premiere of The Simpsons Movie. It's been impossible to avoid the hype (and adorable promotion), and we'll all finally be able to see the long-awaited film on Friday. On the yellow carpet the adorable Hank Azaria cheekily stuck his finger up Homer's nose while JC Chasez was a little more tame in front of the poster. What do you think of Erika Christensen's more mature look? As for Dr. Phil, never one to miss an opportunity to impart advice, he had this to say about Lohan's problems:

"Somebody's going to have to step up and tell these young talents that they're not bulletproof. I just hope somebody doesn't have to get dead before somebody wakes up and says 'we've got to wake up and slow down.'"

While I'm loathe to admit that Dr. Phil is ever right, he's got a point. That being said, it came out in the most smarmy & smug way possible.
