Despite those rumors that Jessica and Cash were done for good, they were looking pretty cozy in the Pacific Palisades yesterday. In fact, they looked like a picture perfect couple as they enjoyed their long walk on the beach with their arms around each other. We had a feeling there was a chance these two would work it out but something still feels a bit off between them and more importantly, when did Alba start smoking? I see a box of Marlboros and don't remember Alba ever being a smoker. Did stress from their separation lead her to the bad habit? If so then let's hope they work it out and get healthy together.

Nick Lachey was in his standard sleeveless tee out in LA Tuesday afternoon. It looks like he was also giving Katie Sugar a run for her money with his monkey impression, though I think he definitely loses to the cuter competitor. Nick still seems like an LA boy, but these days he is shacking up with Vanessa in NYC. She recently talked about learning to live with someone new. She said, "Whether you live with a college roommate or a girlfriend or your significant other, it’s always a learning experience. We take every day as it is, and as a grain of salt, and I have a constant support system — and I am very grateful for that." Uh, that last part is a little convoluted...but...I think that means they're happy...so...yay?

Fall is almost here and it looks like Cameron was already getting ready for cooler temperatures in NYC yesterday. In fact, her big soft sweater is reminding us of her fabulous winter wardrobe from The Holiday. We hate to admit that the summer is quickly slipping away from us, but at least we can look forward to some new comfy winter clothes to keep us warm. As for Cameron, it seems as though she may have more than just a few sweaters to cozy up with in the coming months.

Nicole & Joel met up in matching fedoras (awkwardly twinsies? You know they love it. Do you?) at a studio in LA yesterday. Nicole left holding a CD -- a duet perhaps? Ha. If those weekend rumors of the two being engaged are true, she's definitely not wearing a ring just yet. The always stylish Nicole has been looking extra fab while pregnant, but this look is definitely taking a page out of Joel's book. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of these two now that they're in LA.

After celebrating her birthday last week, Madonna was back to her old gym routine in her black jumpsuit in London today. As the MTV VMAs approach, we can't help but hope for a special appearance by our favorite music legend, and we're not the only ones. Rumors are flying that she and JT may be performing together, which isn't so hard to believe since they've been working together on her new album. In other Madonna news, word is that she may be getting ready to leave her record label Warner Music Group after she puts out two more albums for the company. This would be a major move for Madge, but we're definitely more interested in the chance to see another scandalous VMA performance.

I'm going to go with tiny coffee cup (espresso), but I will say that John Mayer is a pretty big dude. He was spotted (uh, again, I know it's a bit of Mayerverload, but come on -- he's looking so hot!) on his way to the gym in Soho this morning. True story and random fact: I used to go to that gym with John Mayer before I moved from NYC to SF. He was not nearly as hot then (mostly due to the hair), but definitely tall and covered in tattoos. He's still yet to be seen with his rumored paramour Cameron, but maybe he can work on a little guest pass action so the two can get their gym on together? Just a thought.

Bridget Moynahan gave birth to a baby boy in LA today, People reports. No word yet on the name or any other specifics, but the important thing is we know that both the mother and son are doing well.

Tom recently said that he would take time off following the birth of his child, so I imagine he's either on his way to LA or already on the west coast. Lucky for him, he's still got a few weeks before his regular season starts. I can't wait to see the little quarterback! Congrats to Bridget and Tom!

Nicole Richie is back from her east coast pregnancy tour (oooor you know, tagging along with Joel's band) and made her presence known at Urth Cafe in LA this afternoon. Obviously, photos of Nicole are more popular than ever now that she's pregnant, as evidenced by the swarm of paparazzi following her to a simple lunch. I wonder if this return to LA means that she'll be checking in for her short jail stint soon. Hey, I hear an old friend of hers will be serving about the same amount of time soon...cellmates anyone?
