Lucy Liu and her Cashmere Mafia co-star Bonnie Somerville were dressed to the nines on the set in NYC yesterday. Patricia Field and the masterminds over at ABC must be hoping to use the characters' elaborate wardrobes to get our attention. It's worked before and therefore they are obviously being compared to the SatC ladies. We can't help but wonder what the shoe discussions would be like if all these working women ran into each other on their sets. Fall TV has just started but unfortunately we're going to have to wait until November to see Cashmere Mafia.

Ben Affleck was still hard at work on the set of He's Just Not That Into You but this time he's without his onscreen bride Jennifer Aniston. Ben was all smiles despite being away from the other Jen in his life who is busy setting up shop in NYC for their family and preparing for her big Broadway debut. In the lastest issue of Marie Claire Jennifer opens up about what makes their marriage work and cute little Violet. Here's more:

• On her marriage: "Ben is not someone who's ever going to blow up on anyone. What I mean is, if he's ever angry with me, he doesn't act out on it in a weird way or yell at me. And I am the same. So we can handle conflict in a very loving and adult way."
• On Violet: "She's pretty awesome. We're in that sweet spot before the terrible twos. She sleeps until 7 a.m. Yeah, we lucked out. My job is great to have as a mom. I get to take long breaks and then work hard in a really concentrated way. During that concentrated time, it sucks, but whatever."

Clearly Jen has been hard at work these days since we haven't had our daily park runs but we bet something else will arise soon. Jennifer really comes across as so down-to-earth in her interview - no wonder Ben's so happy in his marriage as well.

Ah, perhaps I spoke too soon (always seems to be the case with Tara, doesn't it?). Tara had quite the night partying it up after the Christian Audigier show hosted by Jeremy Jackson. London Fashion Week is a blast! I'm all for having a good time (and a few glasses of wine), but when it happens girlfriend just can't get enough of the camera. I will say though - hot shoes and dress. Luckily, she didn't burn her face off with that sparkler in her mouth.

Ali Larter was in Las Vegas the other night for the premiere of her new movie Resident Evil: Extinction. Also there was her co-star, the very pregnant and beautiful, model, actress turned clothing designer Milla Jovovich. Ali hosted an after-party at TAO with other guests including Amy Smart and Ashanti (along with her boyfriend Nelly). The newly declared Best Dressed Ali made sure to have time to swap her white dress for a sophisticated pantsuit and hat combo. Ali is also Cosmo's cover girl this month and in her interview, she dished on her personality, her rock-solid relationship, and love. She said,

• On her personality: "I'm a bit of a contradiction…I like tomboy stuff, but I also love girlie, girlie lingerie because I feel sexy when I'm in it."
• On what makes relationships work: "It's about being there for each other through the ups and downs of life. I do want to get engaged and married…and I look forward to that time when I'm home with babies."
• On love: "You always have to give love your all, and if it doesn't work out, he just wasn't your man."

Everything certainly seems to be going well for the actress these days. Luckily, we won't have to worry about Ali's big screen career taking her away from TV, because season 2 of Heroes starts next week!

David Schwimmer brought his directorial debut Run, Fat Boy, Run to NYC for its American premiere. Thandie Newton, fresh from celebrating the history of couture in London, was in attendance to promote the film along with David and her co-star Simon Pegg. Thandie looked pretty and petite as usual with her cute husband, Oliver Parker, by her side. Apparently the film's US release date was pushed back from October 26th to March 28th so it won't get lost in the mix with all the other films fighting for Oscar contender gold. It's already out in other countries and since they just had their NYC premiere, we're thinking we will be hearing a lot about this movie for months to come.
