Jennifer Garner cuddled her daughter Seraphina close during a shopping break yesterday in LA. Jennifer browsed for beauty products during their afternoon out after engaging in some retail therapy at Chanel earlier this month. While Sera's big sister, Violet, wasn't on hand for the errand, Jennifer took both of her girls to a petting zoo over the weekend once Violet finished up one of her many soccer practices. Her daughters are gearing up for Halloween, though Jennifer says she thinks this might be the last year Violet has the final say on their costumes.

Katie Holmes carried a script as she left her trailer on the set of Jack and Jill in LA yesterday before changing into a red dress to shoot some scenes this afternoon. The actress is teaming up with Adam Sandler for the comedy, while Tom Cruise is off in Prague filming lots of shirtless action scenes for Mission: Impossible 4. Katie's shoot has been a family-friendly one, with both her and Adam bringing their daughters along for visits. Katie took a brief break from work after filming The Kennedys, and she and Suri paid a visit to Tom in Europe before getting back to their usual California routine. Despite her busy-again schedule, Katie reportedly took a recent time-out to bring an 11th birthday surprise to her Don't Be Afraid of the Dark costar Bailee Madison.
