Brad Pitt took a solo trip to purchase some slabs of marble for his family's French chateau today in Venice, Italy. Meanwhile, the women in his life — Angelina and his mom, Jane — took care of twins Knox and Vivienne for the morning balcony fun. Jane also went on a boat ride with Brad and Angelina yesterday evening, helping to put to rest the rumors that Brad's mother and partner can't get along. Brad's keeping busy with mansion-improvement projects and playing host to his parents, but next month he may be suiting up for Cannes — the official selection list is out tomorrow and his Tree of Life is allegedly a front runner, though even Brad doesn't quite get what the movie is all about.
