Jake Gyllenhaal left his London hotel looking sharp in a suit on his way to do press for Prince of Persia today. He's been promoting the film abroad this week and has also made time to go out with friends and get friendly with fans in between his obligations. Jake's eager to be taken "a little less seriously" as an actor and embrace being an action star. He said, "I think about kids saying 'you're the Prince of Persia!' That I wouldn't mind being locked into." The film premieres in the UK on Sunday, but we'll have to wait to see his many shirtless moments until its May 28 release date in the states.

Michelle Williams was arm in arm with a girlfriend this afternoon for a walk in Manhattan. She's been lying low since wrapping up promotion for Shutter Island back in February, and Michelle apparently took advantage of her downtime to get a haircut — her blond locks are lighter than ever and even shorter! Michelle will probably be bringing her new do overseas next week when her movie Blue Valentine with Ryan Gosling screens at the Cannes Film Festival. It doesn't come out in theaters until December, but before then Michelle will be busy working on other projects like Noah Baumbach's The Emperor's Children and Sarah Polley's Take This Waltz.

Kate Hudson had yesterday afternoon off from working on Something Borrowed in NYC, so she was free to do some shopping with her son, Ryder. They headed out to run errands together, and Ryder later stepped outside of their house to show off a new kite. Kate went casual for their outing, but she was much fancier on Monday in her Stella McCartney gown for the Costume Institute Gala. It was the latest evening out for socially in-demand Kate, but this weekend she has one special obligation — to hang out with Ryder on Mother's Day.

Reese Witherspoon's bright blond hair shone in the sun as she shopped in Hollywood yesterday. She picked up something at one of the boutiques — perhaps an early Mother's Day present for herself!
