Chelsea Handler played capable host at the 2010 MTV VMAs on Sunday in LA. After the handsome guys and fashionable women hit the white carpet they took their seats for a roller coaster of an evening. Eminem and surprise guest Rihanna were first to hit the stage, then Chelsea had Lindsay Lohan's help opening the show. Eminem left and flew back to NYC for his concerts with Jay-Z right after his performance, which meant he couldn't accept any of his awards. He and Lady Gaga were the big winners of the night, and check out the whole list on BuzzSugar. Justin Bieber of course had all the girls screaming with his outdoor performance while his mentor Usher showed off his amazing dance moves on stage. Taylor Swift's ballad about Kanye West was one of the most talked-about moments, and she went barefoot to contrast her D&G dress.

Chelsea got into a hot tub with the cast of Jersey Shore and emerged with a big fake pregnancy belly, but it was Cher's stomach-baring outfit that stole the show. Cher stepped out looking like a blast from the past to hand Video of the Year out to Lady Gaga. Katy Perry joined Nicki Minaj to present an award, during which Katy joked about meeting her fiance Russell Brand at the 2009 VMAs. Russell didn't accompany Katy this time around, though she brought him on her manicure. Kanye closed the show with his new anthem, "Runaway," in which he called for everyone to "raise a toast to the douche bags" implying that he is one of them after interrupting Taylor last year. Overall it was a fairly tame VMAs as the stars headed out to keep celebrating at all the afterparties.

It was a weekend full of stylish events for celebs in NYC attending Fashion Week, and things kicked off on Friday with all the Fashion's Night Out activities — ICYMI, check out which stars were where and see our exclusive interviews with Alexa Chung, Claire Danes, and more! Earlier on Friday, ladies like Diane Kruger, Anna Wintour, and Rachel Zoe were together for the sixth annual Fashion Award Benefit luncheon. Diane kept her black dress on to see Jason Wu's collection. On Saturday, there was a full schedule of shows. Maggie Gyllenhaal kicked off the day at A Détacher before joining M.I.A. at the construction-inspired Alexander Wang presentation. The Kardashian clan checked out Jill Stuart, and Whitney Port hosted her own show. Gavin Rossdale and Kingston were up bright and early to attend Bono's wife Ali Hewson's EDUN show. Gavin told us that he's keeping an eye on his sons while Gwen preps for her L.A.M.B. show later this week and said he loved the line's men's designs. Adorable style icon in the making, 4-year-old Kingston was very well behaved during the show.

Victoria Beckham finally showed off her Victoria Beckham Collection yesterday with an intimate presentation that featured her latest crop of finely tailored dresses. She also revealed a new range of handbags, which Posh says are just as chic as her beloved Birkins. Leighton Meester turned out to see Derek Lam's creations, while Sarah Jessica Parker dressed up to see Diane von Furstenberg's warm weather designs along with Rachel Bilson. The white carpet at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards was full of bold fashion choices and beautiful ladies alongside plenty of hot guys. Lady Gaga didn't disappoint in a dramatic Alexander McQueen ensemble, while Katy Perry paired colorful hair and her nail art with a barely there Marchesa dress. She met Russell at last year's VMAs and while he wasn't by her side this time, he was on her manicure.
