We chatted with Gloria Steinem last night at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards and found out what the feminist icon thinks about everything from equal pay to reality TV. When we asked Gloria — who famously said "we're becoming the men we wanted to marry" — what she thinks about all the attention given to the short-lived marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, she said: "It's a waste of air time. It's a waste of those two young peoples' lives." Gloria said that the public wouldn't mind if the media started ignoring reality TV stars, although she didn't address why the shows are so popular in the first place.

Gloria, who was honored with a lifetime achievement award, also argued that the battle for women's rights is still not half over. She told us, "We're about 40 years into 100 years of change." A top issue for her is equal pay, since women still don't make as much as men. As for the biggest advancement she's seen? It's been an action-packed year for Wendi Murdoch, who grabbed headlines when she slapped away a pie headed for her husband, Rupert, in the British parliament. As her media mogul husband continues to deal with a wiretapping scandal, Wendi came out to support other famous women at last night's Glamour Women of the Year Awards. We chatted with her on the red carpet, and asked Wendi how she'd describe this past year. "It's not easy," she admitted laughing nervously. "It's eventful. And it's exciting. It's interesting. We survive."

As for woman-of-the-year winner Jennifer Lopez, Wendi admitted that she loves J Lo on American Idol, a show that airs on Fox, a network her husband owns. Watch a good-spirited Wendi open up in our interview below.

At last night's Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Chelsea Handler was honored for succeeding as a female late-night talk-show host. On the red carpet, we asked her how she managed to achieve such a feat. Chelsea told us she just says what she's thinking, explaining: "I try to be very honest about my point of view." Chelsea also shared her female comedic icon, which might surprise you. And to top it off she had a special moment with Arianna Huffington, who whispered in Chelsea's ear, "Are you pregnant?"
