Katherine Heigl had assistance with her umbrella this morning on the NYC set of New Year's Eve. The actress is the latest to join the star-studded cast that includes Zac Efron, Sienna Miller, and Jessica Biel. Katherine took over a part that originally belonged to Halle Berry, who dropped out to focus her attentions on her battle for custody of her daughter, Nahla, with ex Gabriel Aubry. One of Katherine's other costars in the comedy, Ashton Kutcher, has been lucky to escape the cold temperatures — he's been working on his tan and enjoying a Brazilian vacation with Demi Moore. The Garry Marshall-directed movie will reunite Killers leading man and woman Ashton and Katherine, and hopefully their second big-screen effort will fare better critically than the first.

Beyoncé Knowles stepped out in NYC today on her way into a business meeting. She topped off her stylish outfit with a leather jacket and hat after rocking a seriously studded ensemble around town last month. Beyoncé might be laying low while she takes care of work on the East Coast, but she's still managing to make headlines. Gwyneth Paltrow gave the singer lots of love in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar UK, saying, "She has so much mastery over what she does. It's mind-blowing." Beyoncé's equally talented husband, Jay-Z, recently showcased his own abilities with the release of his and Kanye West's new single, H.A.M, though we'll have to wait until March for the full album.

Jennifer Lopez threw on a leather dress to visit the Live With Regis and Kelly studios in NYC today. The star's on the East Coast making the rounds as the new face of Venus Razors, taking over for former spokesmodel Brooklyn Decker, while also chatting up her new role on American Idol.
