Reese Witherspoon stopped by Le Pain Quotidien today in Brentwood to grab an iced drink. She's been hanging out close to home since presenting at the Oscars and celebrating Hollywood's biggest night with her fiancé, Jim Toth, but it's still been a major week for the star. Last night, a brand-new clip and trailer for Water For Elephants debuted, showing off her great chemistry with Robert Pattinson. Fans won't have to wait much longer for the film adaptation of the bestselling book — it hits theaters on April 22.

Sienna Miller Talks About Her Theater Addiction, Selfish Love, and Her Awkward G.I. Joe Role to Promote Her Play
Sienna Miller wore her latest chic ensemble in London last night to a rehearsal for her upcoming play Flare Path, which marks her return to the West End stage following her 2005 appearance in As You Like It. She was on Broadway during the interim, however, to star in After Miss Julie in 2009. Her stint in the Big Apple coincided with Jude Law's as he performed in Hamlet, and that led to their getting back together. However, one year later the duo are kaput once again and Sienna's apparently moving on with Robert Pattinson's best bud Tom Sturridge. For now her attention is fully on promoting her play, and she spoke to Time Out London about her love of the theater, how she did not like starring in G.I. Joe, and what she shares with her '40s-era character. Sienna said:
- On being addicted to theater now: "It's so weird that this is what I get a kick out of. But there are times when you come off stage and it's so intense that you're screaming and sobbing but you feel amazing. I just don't think you ever feel more alive — it's electric. I'm hooked. Doing a film is just not so appealing."
- On feeling awkward in G.I. Joe: "It was what it was, but I compromised my own values to a certain degree and I didn't feel good about that . . . I'm not very good at fighting. And I'm not very good at guns. And I'm not particularly aggressive. I had to wear sunglasses because every time I shot my gun I would blink. I was completely out of place, like this little midget running round in black leather winning fights, which was just absurd. They did a wondrous job with the wardrobe to make me look threatening. The director said, 'Gawd, you're real short.' I was, like, 'Yep, not my problem.' . . . [it was] a great paycheck. If, financially, I'm okay — which luckily I am — there's no point in doing stuff that's not right for me. It's too much time away from home."
- On identifying with her character from Flare Path: "I think there's a human instinct to be selfish, especially in matters of the heart. But there was an innocence in that era that's been lost."
Jessica Simpson and her publicist pal Lauren Auslander stepped out of the Ritz Hotel in NYC this afternoon. The girls were off on a mission during Jessica's second day in the Big Apple, since she and fiancé Eric Johnson headed there from LA on Wednesday. Jessica and Eric's stay on the East Coast has coincided with rumors that Jessica is in the running for a big new job as a cohost on Simon Cowell's X Factor, though she laughed off the stories on her way home from dinner at the ABC Kitchen last night.
