Gwen Stefani made her Cannes Film Festival duties as a L'Oreal ambassador into a fun family affair, and she was spotted out on one of the many glamorous boats off the coast of France today. She sported a bikini and waved off the top deck with Zuma while Gavin Rossdale took their older son, Kingston, out for a spin on a jet ski. The little guy held onto dad from behind as they sped off in the water near Antibes, and later hot Gavin stripped off his shirt to give us a peek at those abs. The Stefani-Rossdales arrived in Cannes on Friday and have since been hanging out on the yacht, owned by Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, and checking out the local sights. Don't miss all the amazing Cannes Film Festival pictures and check back to see the action from the red carpets, premieres, and parties around the French city!

Penelope Cruz had a major bombshell moment in a sexy violet Marchesa gown with costar Johnny Depp on her arm at this evening's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The two also stepped out for their photo call and press conference earlier in the day, where Penelope Cruz talked about aging and Johnny revealed that the only important critics in his life are his children. Both Johnny and Penelope were without their partners, Vanessa Paradis and Javier Bardem, respectively, which is already the trend for their promotional duties from LA to Russia to London. New mom Penelope has been knocking it out of the park with her red-carpet picks, and this dramatic dress is no exception. Also on the momentarily rainy red carpet were Cannes jurors Jude Law, Uma Thurman, and Robert De Niro. Johnny and Penelope's cute newcomer castmate Sam Claflin was decked out for his debut at the famous French festival, and his star is only on the rise as he recently signed on to star opposite Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman.
Mia Wasikowska and up-and-comer Henry Hopper star as lovestruck teenagers in Restless, which debuted at Cannes on Thursday and was followed up by a photo call on Friday. The Gus Van Sant film marks Bryce Dallas Howard's debut as a producer and was written by one of her best friends. Bryce had her father, Ron Howard, helping out as executive producer, though Gus said that she was the one who was hands on from start to finish. Bryce went with a billowy gown for the premiere, but she admitted during today's press interviews that the dress was actually a last-minute switch since she had a bit of trouble with the zipper of her intended one and actually cut herself out of it to switch into this strapless number minutes before hitting the red carpet. Mia looked gorgeous in red for Thursday's event and an intricate nude frock yesterday as she posed with her costars. Her chemistry with Henry is at the center of the movie, which is a sweet story about a death-obsessed teen named Enoch and Annabel, who has terminal brain cancer.
Henry is following in his father Dennis Hopper's footsteps with his big-screen debut, and the 20-year-old actor shares the same speech pattern and affectations as his iconic dad. Restless is dedicated to Dennis's memory, after dying suddenly in May 2010. Gus said that Dennis did have a chance to see a cut of the film before his passing and saw a lot of himself in Henry's performance. As for the best advice Dennis ever gave Henry: "Be cool." Lots more to come from our Cannes press day interviews with Mia, Gus, Henry, and Bryce!
Penelope Cruz looked phenomenal in her curve-hugging Stella McCartney dress and Johnny Depp was dapper in white at this afternoon's Cannes Film Festival Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides photo call ahead of tonight's big premiere. The two posed for cameras alongside their costars, including cute newcomer Sam Claflin, as they headed in to take questions at a press conference. The two kept things light answering their questions, with Johnny joking that he's "scared" of critics and the only reviews he pays attention to are his kids' — they've given this one raves. "My family have seen more of my movies than I have. In fact, a lot more, including this one," Johnny said, "So they go and see the movies, and basically, I can tell by their reaction if I did all right or not. So I'm very lucky in that way. They seem to enjoy them so far. I haven't been fired by my kids."
He also revealed that his little ones are where he tests his material: "They've been angels through this process, because I started out secretly testing characters on them to see how the reactions would be. When my daughter was little, we'd be playing Barbies, and I'd start doing these voices. Finally, she just said, 'Stop.'"
In the movie, the characters are looking for the fountain of eternal youth, but in real life the stunning 37-year-old Penelope isn't afraid to age. She spoke about people's obsession with staying young: "Birthdays are always something to celebrate. I'm looking forward to every step of the way. Maybe because I'm from Spain, that's looked at in a different way there than, for example, a place like Los Angeles . . . There are a lot of things that I keep from my roots and that's one of them, the way we look at that. I never want to be afraid of that. Change is good."
The two were soon off to make a costume change before this evening's red-carpet gala, which is just the latest on an international press tour that has already included stops in Russia and London.
David Beckham goofed around with Cruz at soccer practice in LA on Friday. David chatted with a couple of the other fathers and kicked the ball around with Cruz, who was decked out in a little Beckham jersey. The Summer arrival of Cruz, Romeo, and Brooklyn's baby sister is around the corner, and Victoria Beckham had an all-pink baby shower to celebrate thrown by her friends Eva Longoria and Ken Paves last weekend. The soccer star has been hitting the field for work as well and has an LA Galaxy game today. He was sidelined to rest during their last matchup, but hopefully we'll see him playing in front of his always-dedicated cheering section of Victoria and their sons.
Mary-Kate Olsen left her NYC hotel yesterday carrying a fresh cup of joe and wearing a pair of sunglasses from her own line, The Row. She's spent most of the Spring in NYC joining her sister Ashley at a variety of charity events including the Met Gala, and most recently partying with a good-looking mystery man. MKO and Ashley are diligently busting out new designs for all of their fashion lines while their youngest sister, Elizabeth, is at the Cannes Film Festival promoting her independent flick Martha Marcy May Marlene this weekend. Elizabeth is garnering rave reviews for her work, and today Elizabeth Olsen landed a role opposite Dakota Fanning in Very Good Girls. Elizabeth's new project has a Jake Gyllenhaal connection, his mom, Naomi Foner, who wrote the script is also stepping behind the camera to direct her first feature film.

Salma Hayek covered up in a robe between takes on Here Comes the Boom in Boston yesterday. She was back on set following a few busy weeks of traveling that started with an Easter getaway to Miami and ended with her recent visit to France. Salma was joined by Francois-Henri Pinault for the Cannes opening ceremony, and she also got playful with Antonio Banderas while promoting Puss in Boots at the festival this week. She chose to wear Gucci for both of her glamorous appearances, but the actress was a little more dressed down for her latest stint in front of the cameras. Salma started filming the project in April, though she's also been focused on the launch of her new beauty line, Salma Hayek's Nuance, for CVS.
