The fashionable ladies were on hand for a dinner honoring Karl Lagerfeld in Paris on Saturday night, and they traveled to Cap d'Antibes to attend a showing of Chanel's Cruise Collection this afternoon. They were joined by Vanessa Paradis, Clemence Poesy, Alexa Chung, and others at the Hotel du Cap, where they checked out Karl's latest designs and posed for pictures. Blake took a break between photo ops to admire the gorgeous sunset and even captured the view on her iPhone. The stylish group is in the perfect location to continue their fun at the Cannes Film Festival, which kicks off on Wednesday, though even if they don't hit the red carpet, they can stop by Chanel's South of France pop-up shop to get a closer look at the latest goods.

• On her Mean Girls memories: "With Mean Girls, I originally auditioned for the part that Lindsay Lohan played. I wouldn’t have seen myself playing Regina at all. But when I read the script, I thought, 'Oh, this part is way more fun; I wonder who will play that . . . ' "
• On debating what roles to choose: "Sometimes I don’t think I’m the best person for the job. That was the case with Morning Glory. Sometimes I think, 'Really? You see me as this?' Just because I don’t see myself that way, does that mean I shouldn’t do it? I tend to go, Is this the right decision? What are the ramifications of doing this part? You can start to overanalyze. But once I make the decision, it’s full steam ahead."

Ashley Olsen was out and about in NYC today with wet hair, a BlackBerry in her hand, and a collection of books and magazines in her arms. The designer, who recently split from Justin Bartha, was by herself, but her sister, Mary-Kate, hit the town last night with a male companion by her side. Ryan Gosling was waiting to greet his mom, Donna, when she arrived at her house in Toronto yesterday. Ryan, who was in town to celebrate Mother's Day, makes frequent trips home to Canada, having headed north just last month for a brief stay. He had the weekend to spend with family, but it's been a nomadic year for the actor. He was fresh from a trip to NYC, and he'll be heading overseas in the coming days for the Cannes Film Festival, where he'll debut his action-thriller Drive. Ryan was also in France for last year's festivities, attending the premiere of Blue Valentine, the movie that scored his costar Michelle Williams an Oscar nomination. Ryan is now planning to team up with the drama's writer-director Derek Cianfrance again for his latest project, The Place Beyond the Pines. Ryan will portray a professional motorcycle rider who turns to crime to support his young son in the film, which also costars Bradley Cooper. Shooting is expected to start this Summer.
