The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, closed out the first day of their North American tour by attending an informal barbecue at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. Kate and William greeted some of the young people selected to attend the event, which honored the "efforts of Canadian youth towards a smart and caring nation." Kate Middleton wore Issa and her famous LK Bennet wedges for the evening, which was originally scheduled to take place outside, but was moved when there were sudden rain showers. There's no time for the royal newlyweds to have any jetlag, as the first day of their tour was jam packed with appearances. Kate Middleton wore Canadian designer Erdem for their first stop in Ottawa, where Prince William addressed the crowd gathered for a glimpse at the gorgeous duo. Tomorrow will be another huge day for William and Kate, when they take part in the Canada Day celebrations in the city.
It's almost Friday — let's play!
Robert Pattinson clocked another night on the set of Cosmopolis Wednesday in Toronto. PopSugar's Molly breaks down all the crazy scenes he's shot so far!
It was an action-packed afternoon on the set of White Collar in NYC today. True Blood's Joe Manganiello left his werewolf alter ego back in Bon Temps, LA, and yielded a gun for an intense looking shoot-out alongside series regular Tim Dekay. It's been an exciting few week for Joe with True Blood premiering its fourth season on Sunday and Joe's shirtless GQ spread. You can catch more of Joe this Summer on his HBO drama, but you'll have to wait until January to watch his White Collar episode. Matt Bomer managed to keep himself out of harms way while bullets were flying, though he did slip into a perfectly tailored suit for his own batch of scenes. Tiffani Thiessen had a special visitor on the set as well, taking a break with daughter Harper Smith who just turned 1 on June 15.
Cameron Diaz got playful on the set of the Spanish show El Hormiguero in Madrid today. It was the latest silly TV moment after Cameron sported a futuristic white dress on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to promote Bad Teacher last week. Cameron and her leading man Justin Timberlake premiered their raunchy film side by side in the Big Apple, and the press paid off when they landed the second place spot at the box office on opening weekend. Cameron is still fulfilling her obligations for the movie, but her costar has already moved on to another project since it was just announced that Justin Timberlake invested in the relaunch of MySpace.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and his wife, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, touched down at Ottawa's Macdonald-Cartier airport today to start their official tour of Canada! Kate and William left the UK this morning to commence their trip, and she showed some love to our neighbors in the North by wearing a blazer from the Canadian label Smythe. She also represented her home country of England by wearing a dress from London-based designer Roland Mouret. Kate changed at some point midflight into this afternoon's lacy number from Erdem, another Canadian! Upon their arrival, William and Kate were greeted by the minister of foreign affairs, John Baird, and his spouse, Marianne. Kate and William have a jam-packed itinerary that starts with a variety of Canada Day celebrations tomorrow in honor of the country's 144th anniversary of nationhood. They'll witness a citizenship ceremony and watch a fly-over and military parade, among other events.
Gwyneth Paltrow surprised Glee fans in London last night, rocking the stage at The 02 Arena during the latest stop on the TV show's live tour. She sang her take on Cee-Lo's "Forget You" in a minidress and danced alongside her costar Chris Colfer during the performance. Gwyneth has been spending some time in her husband's, Chris Martin, hometown lately, lending her support to her friend Beyoncé Knowles at Glastonbury, and stepping out for dinner with Topshop's CEO Philip Green. This appearance was the second instance Gwyneth's rejoined the cast of the Fox series during their tour. She also stopped by the East Rutherford, NJ, concert on June 17. A special guest was along for yesterday's fun; Gwyneth tweeted that she brought four 7-year-olds, presumably including her daughter, Apple, along to the show.
Prince William and Kate Middleton touched down in Canada today to kick off their foreign tour. It's Kate's first trip to North America, but William is already very familiar with our neighbors to the north. Get the lowdown on the Duke of Cambridge's somewhat sentimental history with the country — tracing all the way back to when Will was 9! — and watch as Kate debuts the first of many looks for their special trip.
