ESPN's annual ESPY Awards took place in LA this evening with SNL's Seth Meyers once again hosting the celebration. SF Giants pitcher Brian Wilson, who arrived in a spandex tuxedo, was the target of Seth's opening jokes before he then moved on to poking fun at the NFL lockout, LeBron James, and the NBA Final's MVP Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk was also the big winner, scoring both Best Male Athlete and Best NBA Player. The all-star athletes were also joined by Hollywood heartthrobs Justin Timberlake, Ryan Reynolds, and Jason Bateman, who stepped out for the big night to promote their upcoming comedies. While he was all about guy time tonight, Ryan Reynolds's love life was a hot topic of conversation today amid rumors that he's both dating Charlize Theron and rekindling things with his ex-wife Scarlett Johansson.
On stage, Justin Timberlake again proclaimed his love of beer and named the beverage the real winner at Monday night's MLB All-Star game; however, during the show he joined the NFL's Aaron Rodgers to present the best male college athlete award to BYU basketball player Jimmer Fredette — click here for the entire list of the 2011 ESPY Award winners! The guys were the only ones giving away awards, with Brooklyn Decker, Entourage's Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Serena Williams were just some of the beautiful women who took the stage. Not one to miss an award show, Justin Bieber hugged Selena Gomez as they sat in the audience.
Happy Wednesday! Time to play.
