Kate recently gave birth to her second child, Bingham "Bing" Bellamy, and since then she's been hanging close to home with her fiancé, Matthew Bellamy, and 7-year-old son, Ryder Robinson. In the issue, Kate talks about embracing motherhood, choosing projects based on how much time she'll be away from her family, and parenting tips she's gotten from Goldie Hawn. Here's more:

• Kate on setting a wedding date: "One thing at a time. We’ll say hello to our new one [son Bingham] and enjoy that for a while."
• Kate on her busy lifestyle: "Most relationships I’ve had in my life have been with people who travel quite a bit for work . . . I don’t know if I’m attracted to that specifically, but it is nice to be with somebody who understands having to be on the move."
• Kate on choosing new projects: [Choosing roles is] definitely getting harder. You have to think about things like, ‘Where is it? How long is it going to keep me away from my family?' But, you know, life moves on. I would never want to be someone who complains and goes, ‘Oh my God, my life is so crazy . . . if you make the best of it, it can be amazing.”
• Kate on turning to Goldie for advice: "We’ve definitely had lots of talks about parenting and being a working mom . . . She never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom, though. My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment. I hope that I can do as good a job."

Robert Pattinson was casual in a hoodie and sweat shorts to pick up food with his guy friend Sam Bradley at a grocery store in LA on Tuesday. Robert was also sporting a hat to cover up the irregular hairdo he still has from shooting Cosmopolis, in which his character only manages to get halfway through his haircut. Rob is currently enjoying some downtime in California and he joined many of his Breaking Dawn costars for Sunday's Teen Choice Awards in Universal City. Robert Pattinson promoted Cancer Bites, a charity focused on blood cancer, as he accepted one of his awards over the weekend and as usual he had lots of thanks to give all the Twilight fans. He wrapped up his weekend with a trip to the Chateau Marmont, though he was without his usual date Kristen Stewart since she's currently overseas shooting Snow White and the Huntsman in his native UK.

A bikini-clad Alessandra Ambrosio and her daughter, Anja, checked out the scene on the beach in Maui yesterday. Anja wore an adorable hula skirt with her two-piece, though Alessandra made sure to put her little one in a life jacket when it was time to hit the waves. The girls are joined by Alessandra's boyfriend Jamie Mazur for the Hawaiian vacation, which is just the trio's latest getaway in a busy Summer of work and play. Bar Refaeli indulged in one of Israel's best-known beauty treatments today — she covered herself in mud from the Dead Sea, a process believed to help strip away dead skin cells. She tweeted, "If you haven't been. . . well, sucks for you!" A little exfoliation could help Bar feel more comfortable in her two-piece, but she's nonetheless been spending lots of time in her suit this Summer. She kicked things off back in May by lounging in her bikini while at Cannes and has gone on to enjoy vacation time in Italy with new boyfriend David Fisher. The frequent sightings of Bar in her two-piece helped the supermodel earn a place on our 2011 bikini bracket. Bar ranked in the top 10, just a few places below the big winner, Halle Berry!

Ryan Reynolds and his actor pal Chris William Martin went through security at Heathrow this morning. The star of The Change-Up headed out of England, avoiding the London riots. Ryan just finished doing press for his funny film with Jason Bateman and is now looking forward to starting work on the action-packed RIPD. He'll star opposite Jeff Bridges in the picture, and they just nabbed a leading lady — Stephanie Szostak is in negotiations to be in RIPD. She'll play Ryan's big-screen love interest, while in real life things for him are becoming complicated. Ryan's rumored romance with Charlize Theron is said to be over, but he's still close with ex-wife Scarlett Johansson.

Kim Kardashian caught a red-eye out of LA last night and touched down in NYC this morning to have her final dress fitting at Vera Wang's bridal boutique. The Big Apple trip was a quick one, since Kim hopped on a plane four hours later to go back to the West Coast. Kim and her fiancé, Kris Humphries, are inching closer to their Aug. 20 nuptials, though fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians will have to wait until Oct. 9 and 10 when E! airs Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event in two one-hour episodes. It seems Kim's star-studded ceremony has already scored a national magazine cover as well, with reports she and Kris sold the exclusive rights to People. The Kardashian family has another reason to celebrate this week as Kim's younger sister Kylie Jenner turns 14 today. Kylie and the other females in the family, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kendall, are to be involved on the big day, and it's rumored Kim's bridesmaids will wear Alexander McQueen.
