Celebrities like Jon Hamm, Shia LaBeouf, and Alessandra Ambrosio got a taste of NYC in LA last night at the launch of (Belvedere) RED in Hollywood. The vodka company brought infamous Big Apple nightclub The Box to the West Coast for the evening, kicking off this weekend's Video Music Awards festivities by celebrating its new partnership with Bono's charity. Chelsea Handler, who is sponsored by the liquor brand, Kellan Lutz, and Audrina Patridge were a few of the other famous faces in the crowd. The mood was lighthearted among most of the attendees, who took in The Box's notoriously quirky burlesque performances, but things ended on a sour note for Shia. The actor arrived to the party hand in hand with his girlfriend, Karolyn Pho, keeping a low profile in a baseball hat pulled down low, but onlookers report that later in the evening, he was escorted out of the party for starting a fight. According to fellow partygoers, Shia had a "meltdown," spitting water on Karolyn and their tablemate Marilyn Manson before being removed from the soiree.

Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars are married. Thomas and Sofia tied the knot at the Palazzo Margherita, a family-owned villa, earlier today in Bernalda, Italy. The bride wore a custom-designed lavender Azzedine Alaïa gown and was escorted down the aisle by her father, Francis Ford Coppola. Following the ceremony, guests dined on a gourmet meal and toasted the newlyweds with wine from the Coppola family vineyard. Sofia and Thomas arrived in Europe earlier this month and spent the days leading up to the wedding relaxing with their daughters, Romy and Cosima, and dining with loved ones. Congrats to the happy couple!
Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy gifted their small sports fan, Ryder Robinson, with tickets to a soccer match in London today. Ryder came dressed in a Chelsea jersey and watched alongside Kate and Matt while the hometown team defeated Norwich City 3-1. Baby Bing missed out on the family outing, though he got a glimpse of the city earlier in the week, from the comforts of his Missoni stroller, joining Kate and Matt on a loved-up lunch date. Since arriving overseas, Kate's been spending quality time with Ryder and exploring her new part-time residence while Matthew tours the UK with Muse. Despite a downpouring of rain, the band still put on an electric performance during last night's Leeds Music Festival. Hopefully the skies will stay clear tomorrow when Muse closes out England's Reading Festival.
Sporting a golden glow, Gwyneth Paltrow looked like she was on vacation yesterday during a book signing event held in the Hamptons. Gwyneth arrived wearing a bikini top, hidden under a blue and white nautical sweater, denim cutoff shorts, and a slicked-back ponytail for the casual event. She happily posed for photos and autographed copies of her cookbook, My Father's Daughter, appearing calm even with the threat of Hurricane Irene looming over the East Coast. Residents in coastal areas and low-lying towns were advised to evacuate prior to Irene's imminent landfall, though some celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Alec Baldwin opted to ride out the storm. The unpredictable weather could delay Gwyneth's future travel plans prior to the release of her next film Contagion. Her costars Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, and Jennifer Ehle were on hand at today's LA press conference, where Matt and the film's director, Steven Soderbergh, jokingly assured reporters Gwyneth's autopsy scene will likely be referred to as "iconic."
Rihanna made the most of her final hours in Sardinia, Italy, yesterday, first stopping at Prada then partying late into the night with girlfriends. During her latest shopping spree, Rihanna stepped out wearing a sequin bikini top, but earlier in the week she showed off her sexy body in a bright blue bikini and toasted champagne with friends wearing a colorful cutout one-piece. Rihanna's been sailing around the Mediterranean for the past week, but even on vacation she managed to release her latest video, "Cheers (Drink to That)."
Petra Ecclestone Dines With Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Fergie, and the Hiltons Prior to Her Lavish Wedding
Petra Ecclestone and her fiancé, James Stunt, were joined Friday by friends and family for dinner and drinks at Villa Aurelia in Rome. The bride-to-be stepped out wearing an elegant, white, floor-length gown for the rehearsal dinner, and Petra's rumored to be wearing a custom-made Vera Wang during Saturday's ceremony. The couple's lavish wedding is being held at Italy's historic Odescalchi Castle, where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes also tied the knot five years ago. There are expected to be 250 guests on hand, including Paris and Nicky Hilton, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as their mother, the Dutchess of York, Fergie. Recording artist Eric Clapton is reportedly serenading Petra and James during their first dance followed by a private concert from The Black Eyed Peas. Petra's father, Bernie, billionaire and CEO of Formula One Management, reportedly paid the group over $1 million to perform. The newlyweds can look forward to spending more time in the States as Petra recently purchased Aaron Spelling's former Beverly Hills mansion for $85 million.

George Clooney was joined by friends Rande Gerber and Bono in Lake Como this week. Bono stripped off his shirt and went for a walk around the property while George and Rande spent their afternoon touring through Italy on motorcycles. Biking and shirtless boating are among Mr. Clooney's favorite vacation activities, and soon we'll see more of his golden tan when he returns to work. George's next film, The Ides of March, is opening Venice's Film Festival on Wednesday. He directs and stars opposite Ryan Gosling in the political drama, though Ryan might miss out on the film's first premiere. Ryan's currently shooting The Place Beyond the Pines, but there's a strong chance he could meet up with George in September at Toronto's International Film Festival.
