Robert Pattinson Hits Notting Hill Solo Amid New Breaking Dawn Buzz
Robert Pattinson was on his own late night in Notting Hill on Friday evening. Pattinson arrived in London earlier in the week and not only is the city his hometown, but it's also near where his girlfriend Kristen Stewart has been working on Snow White and the Huntsman. The two have a crazy Fall ahead of them with the release of Breaking Dawn: Part 1 and next week we'll get another glimpse at Bella and Edward's newlywed life with a new trailer. A just-released Breaking Dawn teaser shows just a peek of pregnant Bella and her protective men Edward and Jacob, but it's more than enough to whet our appetite for the full preview.
Jennifer Garner Balances Ballet Class, Benefits, and a Big, New, Small-Screen Project
A pregnant Jennifer Garner carried her little ballerina Violet Affleck to dance class in Santa Monica yesterday before going glam to play host at the annual Pink Party in Hollywood that evening. The red-carpet event raised funds for the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Program, and Jennifer has been a champion of the cause for several years. The actress, who is expecting her third child with Ben Affleck, dressed her baby bump in a red, draped number for the soiree, held at Drai's at the W Hotel. The night out marked Jennifer's first public appearance since she announced the happy news. Just a few days before revealing that the new addition to the Garner-Affleck household was on the way, she was in Anaheim to attend the Disney convention D23 and talk about her upcoming film The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which costars Warrior's breakout star Joel Edgerton. Jennifer will be taking her talents to a small-screen project again soon — it was just announced that her production company is developing a sitcom based on the book The Geeks Shall Inherit the Earth for ABC.
Ryan Gosling Doubles Up His Toronto Premieres With Drive
A Burberry-clad Ryan Gosling reunited with his friend and Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn last night at the film's Toronto International Film Festival debut. The collaborators weren't joined by leading ladies Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks for the evening, but Drive's supporting stars Albert Brooks and Bryan Cranston both turned up for the event. As usual, the camaraderie between Ryan and Nicolas was evident on the press line and as they introduced the movie. It's been a busy weekend in Canada for Ryan. On Friday night, he attended The Ides of March premiere with his director and costar George Clooney. George had his new love Stacey Keibler along for the red-carpet affair, while Ryan brought his mother as his date. Ryan has spent recent weeks shooting The Place Beyond the Pines in NY with Eva Mendes and Bradley Cooper, but made a pit stop in LA before heading north for the fest. Ryan and Eva went to Disneyland together on Monday night, where they were spotted cuddling and holding hands.
Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt Enjoy Their Friends With Kids Success at the Artists For Peace and Justice Luncheon
Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt arrived at the Artists for Peace and Justice Luncheon in Toronto yesterday arm in arm, fresh from debuting their film Friends With Kids the night before at the Toronto Film Festival to great reviews. The couple were on hand to support the fundraising party, hosted by APJ founder and writer-director Paul Haggis, and stopped to talk with us about collaborating on the big screen. Jon said, "We work together well, it turns out. It was very nice, it was a very complementary relationship. We serve each others' strengths and weakness very well." So, we asked Jennifer, is there another team effort in their future? Jennifer replied, "We'll see what happens with this one!" We also spoke with Paul about his organization and his latest effort to build new schools in Haiti. Paul said, "We've got grades seventh and eight, now we're doing ninth and 10th, so it will be about 120 kids. We know where every dollar is spent . . . and we do things fast. We're renegades. We go down there and we do it." The event, held at a private Toronto home, featured a memorable performance by Eddie Vedder and Régine Chassagne from Arcade Fire and raised more than $600,000 for the cause.
