Angelina, Michelle, Zoe, Viola, and More Bring Glamour to the SAG Awards Red Carpet

Award season saw another glamorous night with the Screen Actors Guild Awards in LA this evening.

Award season saw another glamorous night with the Screen Actors Guild Awards in LA this evening. Stars from both the big and small screens brought even more great looks with plenty of ladies stepping out in neutrals. Presenter Zoe Saldana glowed in a white Givenchy Couture gown straight from the Paris runways while Bridesmaids' Kristen Wiig chose a Balenciaga halter. Viola Davis, who won best actress and best picture for The Help, got gorgeous in a strapless Marchesa and her winning costar Octavia Spencer donned Tadashi Shoji. The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies wore a custom beaded Calvin Klein Collection as she arrived on the arm of her husband Keith Lieberthal.

There were a few fun pops of color this evening, including a group that matched the carpet in red. Best actress nominee Michelle Williams looked sweet in a lace Valentino gown and Lanvin clutch and Kyra Sedgwick showed skin in a cutout Pucci that displayed her rib tattoo of her family's initials. Modern Family's Sofia Vergara continued her sexy streak in a strapless pink Marchesa dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, which were front and center when she took the stage with her costars to accept the best TV comedy ensemble statue. Emily Blunt got bright in a green Oscar de la Renta next to husband John Krasinski, and The Help's Jessica Chastain went with a bold blue Calvin Klein.

Angelina Jolie led the pack of black looks in a slinky Jenny Packham gown and Ashlee Simpson followed suit in a sequin number by the same designer when she arrived with boyfriend and Boardwalk Empire nominee Vincent Piazza. Emma Stone mixed things up with a short McQueen and 30 Rock's Tina Fey went strapless in Versace. Melissa McCarthy, who was nominated for Bridesmaids, joined the dark-hued dresses in navy Badgley Mischka. There was so much exciting fashion and beauty on tonight's red carpet so be sure to vote on all of Fab and Bella's SAG Awards polls here!

Viola Davis Gets a Little Help From Her Costars in the SAG Awards Press Room

After accepting one of the evening's most coveted awards, for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, the stars of The Help paid a visit to the SAG Awards press room.

After accepting one of the evening's most coveted awards, for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, the stars of The Help paid a visit to the SAG Awards press room. The film was one of the night's biggest winners, with Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer also taking home the Actor awards for their leading and supporting roles in the film, respectively. Viola was fresh from snapping up her own individual award and fielded most of the questions backstage. She weighed in on winning the honor over one of her idols, Meryl Streep, and how The Help actually helped her find her own voice. Here are some highlights:

Viola on how she personally related to her character: "During the course of promoting this movie, and having to kind of defend my choices in playing a maid in 1963 Mississippi — [it's] 2011 — and I've had to find my voice. I've had to find my voice as a woman of color, an artist, and I never thought that I would ever be put in a position like that. I've always been kind of in the background, a character actor doing four or five scenes. And all of a sudden, I was being put to the test, kind of being pushed against the wall, kind of making me feel what Abilene, Minnie, [all of them] felt in finding their own voices, and not keeping silent anymore. Not staying in the background."

Viola on how she felt about "beating out" Meryl Streep: "I feel pretty overwhelmed with my name being called. I just don't see the 'best' thing going on. It's hard — every time I start a job ... I feel like I've never done anything before, everyone's going to find me out to be the hack that I am. It's hard to me to think that I triumphed over Meryl Streep. I just think that a few more people checked my name in a box for whatever reason, and this time, I fooled them. You know, I bought a little time to maybe suck in my next role or something."

Viola on why The Help is important: "For me, and I know for Octavia, and for Ms. [Cicely] Tyson, they are the stories of our mothers, our grandmothers, and we absolutely feel like these women's stories are worth it."

Alec Baldwin Talks His Words With Friends Dustup and Politics in the Press Room

Alec Baldwin made an appearance backstage in the press room at tonight's SAG Awards just after snagging the honor for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series.

Alec Baldwin made an appearance backstage in the press room at tonight's SAG Awards just after snagging the honor for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series. True to form, the 30 Rock star wasn't shy about discussing his current political views, and he also made light of his recent in-flight Words With Friends flap. Here are the highlights:

On his opinion of the 2012 primary: "The thing about the campaign that concerns me most is, how is Gingrich going to be able to retract all the things he's said about Romney once he becomes a nominee?"

On why he feels more comfortable sharing political views today vs. when he started out: "What's changed is that, and thankfully what's evolved over time is, there are better forums to give that opinion ... when [I] started, quite frankly, entertainment journalism and these entertainment talk shows were fairly new, and they weren't omnipresent ... and during the time that they've grown, people have had to learn the lesson that that's not the best place to —that you should keep it light. CNN, The Huffington Post, are good places to air those views."

On whether he still is ever afraid to voice his opinions: "I'm still scared to speak out. I want season seven [of 30 Rock] really badly. I want us to come back for another season. When you do speak out, it does cost you. The ones that are the most successful film stars today and have the most potent careers are the ones you know virtually nothing about ... they're very smart to do that."

On whether he's still playing his favorite game: "I am still playing Words With Friends ... but now on Virgin Atlantic."
