Reese Witherspoon picked up some items at Madewell in LA's Century City before changing and meeting up with her mother to watch Deacon play sports in LA on Friday. Reese and husband Jim Toth welcomed son Tennessee in late September, so her mother is in town to visit her latest grandson as well as Deacon and Ava. Reese has been out and about quite a bit since Tennessee's birth, though last weekend marked her official red carpet return when she attended the opening of LA's new Rag & Bone store. Reese is taking a short break from acting postbaby, but fans are eager to see the developments in one of her next highly anticipated projects. Reese is a producer on the movie adaptation of Gone Girl, one of the year's hottest books, which is currently being adapted for the big screen.

Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman had prime seats to watch the LA Lakers take on the LA Clippers at the Staples Center on Friday evening. The duo sipped on beers and checked out the halftime dancers just a few feet away. It was the latest low-key date night for the new parents, who welcomed daughter Olive to the world in September. We've yet to see the little one, though Drew and Will have been able to squeeze in some romantic outings together. Drew is reportedly also working on a makeup line for Walmart set to launch in early 2013, so she's not slowing down careerwise either.

There was plenty of fun around the globe for some of our favorite stars this week. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux kicked off the action at LACMA's gala with Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman, while Gwyneth Paltrow traveled to Spain for work. Jessica Simpson and her family got in on the Halloween excitement in costume, and Angelina Jolie prepped for the holiday at a festive store with Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
