Cameron Diaz rocked a white blazer to a business meeting in LA yesterday and later wore the same ensemble to meet up with best pal Gwyneth Paltrow for dinner. Gwyneth's husband, Chris Martin, was even along for the meal! Cameron spoke about her close bond with Gwyneth in the June 2012 issue of Harper's Bazaar UK. Cameron said of Gwyneth, "We became very close after my dad's death. She reached out and it was very sweet. We bonded on that . . . They (Martin/Paltrow) are exceptional people. We have known each other because we have been in the business for the same amount of time."

Gwyneth flew out to California just a few days ago to meet up with Chris during Coldplay's string of tour dates there. Last night, Chris appeared on the latest American Idol episode with the guys. He'll be back on stage with his band this evening at the Hollywood Bowl.

George Clooney celebrates his 51st birthday on Sunday. The Hollywood star seems to have a way with the ladies from his string of sexy girlfriends to his famous female pals and even cute costars. Nicole Richie is the star of a special spread in the June issue of Glamour, which features Carrie Underwood on the cover. Nicole lounged poolside in cover-ups and bikinis for the shoot to promote her many projects including Fashion Star and her new Nicole Richie Collection for QVC. She shared her beauty tips, talked about married life, and proclaimed that she's "proud" of her body. Here's more from Nicole Richie in Glamour:

• On her husband, Joel Madden: "You know, Joel barely speaks all day, and then out of
  nowhere he has 9 million things to say, only for 30 minutes, from 9:00 to 9:30 P.M., when I'm watching Real Housewives."
• On her body: "I feel [gets all fake dramatic]…great about my body. [Laughs.] You know, aesthetically I can be picky, but I choose not to. I've taken huge leaps. I'm proud of that. I work out, and I get lots of sleep, and so I feel great. And that is most important."
• On her favorite part of the day: "When I wake up at 5:30 A.M. and it's still dark out. I love, love being alone. It helps me to be a better mom to my kids and a better person at work."

Mary-Kate Olsen was out and about in NYC today for a solo shopping trip, leaving one store with a heavy-looking box. The designer wore a black quilted-leather jacket, a printed scarf, and pink oxford slip-ons for the outing. Mary-Kate was just on the cover of April's Elle UK to chat about her high-end fashion line The Row that she started with sister Ashley. In the magazine's pages, Mary-Kate showed off her personal style, for which she is known, and opened up about other celebrity fashion lines. She said, "Of course we knew about the trend of celebrities as designers, but we'd done that already when we were much younger. I don't understand the new idea of designers as celebrities either. To me, the Phoebe Philo [Celine designer] kind of modesty is the way to go. We love beautiful things. That's the only driving impulse."

Natalie Portman posed for photos outside of the Audrey Hepburn Children's House in New Jersey this afternoon. She was joined by Audrey's son Sean Ferrer for the event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the location's opening. Natalie serves as an honorary godmother and an advisory board member for the charity, which helps abused and neglected children.

Natalie's been stepping out when she's not busy with her son, Aleph. Last month, she traveled to Washington DC to speak at the Holocaust Memorial Museum's Elie Wiesel National Tribute Dinner and announced her involvement as an ambassador with Free the Children in Paris.

Reese Witherspoon hit the hills of Brentwood, CA, for a hike with her dogs this afternoon. She covered her growing baby bump in a black shirt after showing it off on the red carpet at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington DC last weekend. Reese traveled east for the event with her husband, Jim Toth, who also joined her for the afterparty at the home of the French ambassador. The political support may continue if Reese and Jim attend George Clooney's fundraiser for President Obama at his LA home, with tickets going for $40,000 per person for the May 10 dinner.
