Lea Michele was the guest of honor last night at Sony X Headphones and Nylon's private dinner and party at Mr. C in Beverly Hills. The celebration toasted Lea's cover for the magazine's September TV issue and the launch of Sony's new headphones, which were developed with The X Factor's own Simon Cowell.
Lucy Hale, a newly engaged Elisha Cuthbert, The Office's B.J. Novak, and The Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham were among the other notable guests on hand for the soiree. We caught up with Lea before dinner, when she jokingly told us she "begged" the magazine to pick her as the issue's covergirl, and talked about the season premiere of Glee. Lea says that so far this season, most of the scenes she's shot have been opposite Chris Colfer, Corey Monteith, and guest star Kate Hudson. Lea hinted that there will be even more big-name cameos announced soon, and said finding out Kate and Sarah Jessica Parker would both be on the show this season was like a dream come true. She said: "When I found out that we had Kate and Sarah, I was like, I'm sorry — does it get any better than that for a girl my age?"

Last night, actresses like Christina Hendricks, Malin Akerman, and Lake Bell helped award Creative Arts Emmys winners to The Good Wife's Martha Plimpton for outstanding guest actress in a drama series and Jimmy Fallon for his guest actor work on Saturday Night Live. The biggest winner was Game of Thrones, which earned six statues in categories like makeup, costumes, and visual effects. Other celebs at LA's Nokia Theatre included Once Upon a Time's Jennifer Morrison, Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman, and his wife Megan Mullally.
Miley Cyrus and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth went out to the Troubadour in LA last night, and held hands as they walked out to their car afterward. Things seem to be going well between Miley and Liam, but last week, she tweeted about a lack of spark in her life. She wrote, "Ever feel like you want just . . . something more. Not sure what exactly . . . passion perhaps?" Miley later assured fans that all is well with her husband-to-be since they were spending quality time together. Today, Liam was solo when he reported to LAX. He took off for Atlanta, where work on Catching Fire, the second film in the Hunger Games series, is under way. His costars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are on set and in character already, along with newcomers Sam Claflin and Jena Malone.
Angelina Jolie traveled to Baghdad yesterday to continue her advocacy work with the UN on behalf of Syrian refugees. Her travels have already taken her to Lebanon, Turkey, and Jordan, where she visited a refugee camp. Angelina, a special envoy for the UN's refugee agency, has met with many political leaders so far, and in Iraq, she had a discussion with Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari at his office. Today, she was in Erbil, north of Baghdad, for more meetings with leaders of the country's semi-autonomous Kurdistan. In both cities, Angelina encouraged Iraq to host Syrian refugees fleeing violence in their home country and to keep an eye out especially for ways to help children.
Prince William and his wife Kate arrived on the Solomon Islands this morning to quite a reception. As soon as they stepped off their plane at Honiara International Airport on Guadalcanal Island, they were greeted by Island warriors performing a traditional dance. The couple received floral leis before boarding an open-top vehicle in the shape of a canoe to venture from the airport into the town. In Honiara, William and Kate first attended a Jubilee Thanksgiving Service at St. Barnabus Cathedral. They then changed into traditional prints to visit the home of the governor general of the Solomon Island. Kate had apparently brought a dress to wear to the evening banquet, but decided to don the pink printed frock which was a gift from her hosts. Prince William also said a few words at the meal, thanking everyone for the warm welcome.
William and Kate's Asia Pacific tour continues despite the furor over topless photos of Kate featured in a French magazine. Apparently, the royals are seeking an injunction to legally prevent any other publications from sharing the images.
