President Barack Obama suggested Michelle Obama should run for office during their appearance on The View. Watch their candid conversation here. Find out the first lady's response, and hear them share sweet stories about their love in today's PopSugar Rush.
The 2012 Emmy Awards were the hot ticket in LA this weekend, and I was on the scene for the small screen's biggest night, reporting from the red carpet and PopSugar's prime spot backstage in the winner's circle. There, I had the chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the show and interview many of the evening's big winners just after they were presented with their statuettes.
Take a look at some of my favorite moments and memories from the night, from getting an up-close look at Nicole Kidman's gorgeous gown to chatting with Aaron Paul about Jesse's fate on the last few episodes of Breaking Bad, here. Click through to relive them with me!
Leonardo DiCaprio teamed up with his Wolf of Wall Street costar Kyle Chandler for a lavish afternoon of filming in NYC yesterday. The duo got to work on the deck of a yacht, where Leo threw hundred dollar bills, drank wine, smashed lobsters, and partied with bikini-clad extras while in character. It was a change of pace from Leo's more suited-up days on set that he has shared with Matthew McConaughey. Leo did break from work for a bike ride around Tribeca over the weekend, while his girlfriend, Erin Heatherton, was in Las Vegas. She checked out Rihanna's performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, where No Doubt and Usher took the stage as well.
Keira Knightley stars in this Fall's Anna Karenina, director Joe Wright's adaptation of the famous novel, and I sat down with Knightley recently to talk about playing one of literature's most famous characters. Knightley talked about how tricky it was to play a character who's not completely sympathetic and how playing another fictional character — Elizabeth Bennet — was far more daunting than playing Anna. Knightley also talked about the beautiful costumes and the extremely difficult dance scenes.
The stars put their best fashions forward at this year's Emmy Awards, and our PopSugar team looked the part, too, thanks to some gorgeous dresses from FORWARD by elyse walker! Allison, Lindsay, Becky, and Molly were decked out by one of our favorite boutiques in designers including Alexander McQueen and Rachel Zoe. Check out FORWARD by elyse walker and click through to see our red carpet, backstage, and live show looks!
Cameron Diaz slipped into a sexy dress and high heels to film scenes for The Counselor opposite Javier Bardem today in Alicante, Spain. She changed into another printed number during her latest day on set. Cameron's fake neck tattoo was once again on display after she revealed the artwork for the cameras in London earlier this month. While in the UK, she found time to dine with Javier and his wife, Penelope Cruz, who is also currently in Spain. Today, Penelope made an appearance at the San Sebastian Film Festival to promote her latest project, Twice Born.
Claire Danes toted her luggage yesterday as she caught a plane at LAX. She was solo at the airport, though her husband, Hugh Dancy, was by her side over the weekend in LA. The expectant actress, who won outstanding lead actress in a drama series at Sunday's Emmy Awards for her role in Homeland, made her way through security in a casual t-shirt and jeans.
Claire wore a Lanvin gown to the Emmys to accept her award this weekend, but the individual honor wasn't the only one her critically acclaimed Showtime series snagged for its very first season. Her costar Damian Lewis won outstanding lead actor and the show also won outstanding drama. Check out our Emmys recap show for even more on the night's biggest winners, best fashion, and greatest backstage moments!
We are thrilled to share the first answer in our series with First Lady Michelle Obama. Since we're in back-to-school mode, this week we're focusing on education and women's health. Here's the first lady in her own words:
"Fall is officially here, and like a lot of parents around the country, Barack and I are feeling a little sentimental about our girls getting another year older and starting a new grade at school. I can tell many of you are feeling the same way, because I got a lot of questions this week about issues affecting our kids, from education to health care. So, this week, I'll answer some of those — and maybe a couple others as well."
Read on for Michelle's answer to PopSugar reader Ashley Goodman's question. Ashley asks, "What does the president plan on doing in order to help ease some of the financial debt for students?"
We are still taking questions! There are three ways to participate:
