Stars got glamorous for the Critics' Choice Awards in LA tonight, hitting the carpet in gorgeous looks. Best supporting actress winner Anne Hathaway chose a sexy metallic Oscar de la Renta look for her big night, while nominee Marion Cotillard went short in a floral Zuhair Murad number. Jessica Chastain, who won best actress for Zero Dark Thirty, brightened up the carpet in a red Prada gown, and Jennifer Lawrence took a dramatic turn in Prabal Gurung. Amy Adams chose a two-tone Vionnet look, while Naomi Watts wore a black, strapless Emilio Pucci and arrived on the arm of husband Liev Schreiber. If you saw tonight's Critics' Choice Awards, you saw just how close the ensemble cast of Silver Linings Playbook is. Silver Linings Playbook already has a strong lead in this year's award season race after earning several Oscar nominations today, including one for Jennifer Lawrence. Her costar Chris Tucker stopped to chat with us on the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet about why he was personally impressed by the young actress. Watch to find out why he thinks she has the It factor!
We were fairly taken aback when Ben Affleck was left off the list of this year's Oscar nominees for best director — which is why his best director win at tonight's Critics' Choice Awards was even more of a pleasant surprise! We chatted with Argo stars Kerry Bishé and Clea DuVall during our Google+ Hangout backstage, where they shared how happy they are for their director, costar, and, as they call him, an "incredible man."
Les Misérables has been racking up award-season acclaim, and at the Critics' Choice Awards, director Tom Hooper shared with us why he thinks people love the film so much. Find out the secret to the musical film's success, plus how his chat with stars Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman went down after they found out about their Oscar nominations this morning.
Elle Fanning is one of the young stars we love to see step out on the red carpet, and at this evening's Critics' Choice Awards, she chose an embellished Chanel number to show off her girlie side. Hear from the Ginger & Rosa star about what attracted her to that particular dress and why filming Maleficent with Angelina Jolie made her nervous!
Bradley Cooper already had a big night at the Critics' Choice Awards in LA, picking up a win for best ensemble cast for Silver Linings Playbook. He's already celebrating with the other stars in the crowd, including Ben Affleck. Ben and Bradley shared a hug and chatted after both arriving on the red carpet solo — check out all the stars on the Critics' Choice Awards carpet.
