Yesterday we attended the Kids' Inaugural — a concert to honor military families, which Michelle Obama says is her favorite event of the entire weekend. Katy and Usher Join Forces With the Obamas for Kids' Inaugural Concert
Michelle Obama got some serious pop star support when she hosted the Kids' Inaugural concert in Washington DC last night. Michelle was joined by her daughters, Malia and Sasha, and Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden as she thanked the military men and women in the audience for their service and introduced the night's performers, including Katy Perry and Usher. Katy gave a particularly patriotic performance, dressed in a star-spangled romper, while Usher chose an all-black ensemble. Other acts of the night included the cast of Glee and the Soul Children of Chicago. The Kids' Inaugural concert kicks off the 57th presidential inauguration, which takes place on Monday. Despite all the other glamorous balls and events, Michelle talked about how the Kids' Inaugural has become her favorite moment of the weekend. She told the crowd, "Inauguration is a really big deal. There're balls. Everybody dresses up and dances. Let me tell you: I love every single minute of it. Every single minute. But I have to tell you that my very favorite part of this entire weekend is being right here with all of you."
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Step Out With Their Twins
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer went on a shopping trip in LA with their newborn twins yesterday. Anna pushed a stroller and shielded the babies from the sun with a white blanket. Meanwhile, Stephen carried the couple's shopping bags while he walked alongside Anna. Although Anna and Stephen have not revealed the names of their children, they did reveal the gender of the twins, a boy and a girl.
Stephen and Anna are currently gearing up for the filming of True Blood season six, which will premiere in the Summer. According to the couple's costar Joe Manganiello, the upcoming season will be even racier than in the past.
