Ben Affleck stepped out of his car and headed into the TED, Technology, Entertainment and Design, conference in Long Beach today. He wasn't the only star spotted at the annual meeting since Reese Witherspoon also made an appearance yesterday. Ben was fresh faced to attend the event after shaving his beard immediately following the Oscars. Ben had apparently been letting his facial hair grow out of superstition during award season, and it looks like his method worked since he took home the Academy's highest honor of best picture for Argo. His hairy face wasn't the only one on display at the Oscars though, with George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, and Hugh Jackman all rocking scruff on the carpet as well.
The end of award season hasn't meant the end of celebrations for the Garner-Affleck family since they marked little Samuel's first birthday on Wednesday.

The exciting night wrapped up an eventful 2013 award season for the star, who also took home honors from the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards over the last two months.

Katie Holmes sat courtside last night as the Golden State Warriors took on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Katie was joined by her agent, Adam Schweitzer, in the front row, where they watched the Knicks take home the win. She dressed casually for the event, adding a pop of team spirit with orange pumps and a lipstick shade to match. Katie's night out came without her usual companion, Suri Cruise, who recently spent time in London with dad Tom Cruise.
Katie is back on the East Coast after a quick trip to LA last week. She attended an exclusive dinner last Thursday, which was hosted by the ICM Partners agency. Katie didn't stick around to participate in Oscars festivities, despite attending Vanity Fair's afterparty with Tom by her side last year.
