Is Curtis really dead? I've conferred with others, who are also puzzled as to whether or not Curtis is dead. As far as Assad goes, it is way to early in the season for him to be a "good" guy. I think he is either with Fayed or plotting his own scheme. The fan of 24 in me does hope he is a good guy though. Can't wait til next Monday!

This is a tough one because while Jack seems to trust Assad pretty well, I think we as the audience are not supposed to trust him, which is why I think, in the end, Assad will be a trustworthy character, but that he will be doubted repeatedly throughout the season. Probably he'll die and then afterward we'll find out that he was some kind of hero. And yeah, Curtis' death was totally unnecessary! I could not believe that!

I think Assad is working on his own agenda. I think in the end he will turn. So sad about Curtis though -- I think his death was uneccessary - Jack could have given him orders to go back to CTU and re-group. That decision to not pull him from the case right away when he supected something was up was a bad one. Maybe that's how the writers wanted us to feel. Will Jack make more bad judgement calls? Is this a hint - that maybe this is the final season?
