99 Homes Trailer: A Desperate Andrew Garfield Goes to the Dark Side

Andrew Garfield takes on an emotionally meaty role in 99 Homes, a drama set during the recent real estate crisis. He plays a young father, gruffly forced out of his home with his son and mother (Laura Dern) by a shady real estate broker (Michael Shannon). He doesn't take it sitting down, and he ends up working for the broker in order to earn his house back. He soon finds out that his new job includes kicking other people out of their houses, and the moral gray area intensifies. The movie screened to positive reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, and it'll be released in theaters on Sept. 25. Frankly, I'm just glad to be seeing more of Garfield, since he's officially done with the Spider-Man films. (Don't worry, we're getting a new Spider-Man.) Check out the trailer above!
