Our Dream Cast For American Horror Story Season 7: The 2016 Election

Ryan Murphy has unveiled the theme for American Horror Story season 7, and we're 90 percent sure he's serious. The creator announced that the upcoming season will tell the story of the 2016 election (which feels more like an American Crime Story theme, but what do we know) and that it's likely a Donald Trump character will appear. We know that Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters have already been cast and while we're not sure where Peters fits in, we have a great suggestion for Paulson. In fact, we've gone ahead and cast Murphy's frequent collaborators as eight major figures from the election. Fingers crossed that all of this comes true.

John Carroll Lynch as Donald Trump
So far, Lynch has played two terrifying characters on American Horror Story; Twisty the Clown in Freak Show and John Wayne Gacy in Hotel. I'm not saying that's what makes him the ideal candidate to play the president, but . . . I'm not not saying it.

Sarah Paulson as Hillary Clinton
Paulson, who is ever-present in Murphy's shows, has to be cast as Clinton. It would almost guarantee her a 2018 Emmy nomination!

Lea Michele as Melania Trump
Yes, Michele is much younger than the First Lady, but she could embody the practiced, photo-ready poise that Trump is known for.

John Travolta as Bill Clinton
Um, did you see Travolta's impression of Robert Shapiro on American Crime Story? I would pay good money to see him as Clinton.

After joining the Murphy-verse in American Horror Story: Roanoke, Holland would be the ideal fit to play former President Obama.
