The Beautiful Life Cancelled After Only Two Episodes

The Beautiful Life Gets Cancelled After Only Two Episodes!

The CW has pulled the plug on The Beautiful Life after airing only two episodes. The ratings were dismal for the premiere and apparently things weren't looking up after the second week on the air. This makes TBL the first of the new Fall shows to be canceled after two other new CW shows — Melrose Place and The Vampire Diaries — were both picked up for more episodes. Sad news for Mischa Barton, the rest of the cast, and producer Ashton Kutcher. So, are you disappointed to see The Beautiful Life go so soon?

@weffie - I am so there with you. Bring back Privileged. CW you can't keep doing this to me... canceling a show with a major cliff hanger hanging. I'm going to stop watching your shows until they are into their 2nd season as I can't trust you no to cancel them.

Didn't watch it, but a remake of Models Inc would be sweet! But my first choice would be to have Privileged come back to replace it, I miss that show :(

I wasn't a great fan of the show. I watched the first episode and the second is still sitting in the DVR, but it seems to be victim to a great deal of mismanagement on the part of the network that they order shows, pay for shows, and then decide after 2 of them they are done. Did no one watch them prior to putting them in the line up? Did they not know that with the massive upsweep in teen type soaps this season that any new show was going to have to be nourished to grow. Melrose and 90210 had the unfair advantage as there were not only the new generation but the original fans of the shows that are tuning in. Vampire Diaries has the advantage of the Twilight hysteria, and the fact that the books are good. Shame they don't have anything to do with the show. The Beautiful Life might have had a better chance if they had named it Models, Inc., tied it to 90210 and Melrose Place, and had more characters that weren't models. Also, it would have helped if they killed someone of in the first episode.

I feel like this is a little premature. It's barely had a chance to start airing. I thought it just needed to gain steam.
