Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Emmy Poll

Who Should Win the Emmy For Best Supporting Actor, Comedy?

I'm gearing up for the Emmys by letting you guys weigh in on the nominees for each category — you're all so passionate about your favorite actors that I love getting the feedback. I already asked you who you'd pick for supporting actor in a drama, so now I'm going to lighten up a bit and talk about the supporting actors in the comedy category.

Refreshingly, there are a lot of first timers in this category, like Glee's Chris Colfer and the three Modern Family men: Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Ty Burrell. Veteran Neil Patrick Harris from How I Met Your Mother is also up for guest star on Glee, but this is fourth nomination for supporting actor, and he hasn't brought home a statue . . .yet. Lastly, Two and a Half Men's Jon Cryer is up again after winning for the first time last year.

Who do you think should win the Emmy? State your case in the comments below, and you may see your argument in my Emmy breakdown later!

While I like Chris Colfer, I'm really torn between Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet. I vote for Eric, though, because he gives Cam such heart!

I haven't seen such an amazing portrayal of a gay teenage boy since my So Called Life. Chris Colfer is the ingredient that could make the whole meal feel bleh(not entirely bad, but certainly not memorable), if he wasn't on Glee. Plus, Ryan Murphy created the role just for him.

Chris Colfer - I think Kurt’s a trickier character than the others, and he does a great job.

i love NPH and think he is long over due for HIMYM. i also think Chris Colfer is great on Glee, but he's pretty new on the scene. i can see him getting overlooked.

This is such a strong field! I love them all, but I gotta say, I'm pulling for Chris. He is just so uniquely talented. He gets a lot of attention for his big, emotional scenes, but my favorite moments are the subtle ones when he tells the whole story without even opening his mouth. His body language and facial control are remarkable and unlike anything I've seen before.

While I love the Modern Family guys, I think it might hurt them to have three nominations in this category. I love Chris Colfer, but truly believe that NPH is long overdue for an Emmy (after being robbed last year).
