I have read the book a Woman in Black by Susan Hill. The original movie was a haunting film. Will the new one be as successful?

I have high hopes for The Great Gatsby and The Hunger Games, two of my favorite (but very different) books. I think Carey Mulligan is a great choice for Daisy- whenever I read The Great Gatsby, I invision a woman very similar to her! I'm surprised to not see a political thriller on this list. Since 'The Ides of March' did so well and the world is full of excellent political novels, I would have thought it would be a natural next step. Maybe I'm biased, as it's my favorite genre and I'm constantly reading a new political thriller- this week it's 'Operation Downfall' by Daniel McNeet (http://www.danielmcneet.com). In any case, I'd like to see more political dramas hit theaters!

You forgot Irvine Welsh's "Filth." They're beginning filming very soon, and it stars James McAvoy!!! It's definitely a challenge to read, but who can resist knowing that sexy James will be playing ruthless Bruce Robertson?? Can't wait to see him pull off the role of his life.
