@glamglam4124  You have WAY too much time on your hands.  Maybe devote that time to reading a book with an actual plot and more than 40 different words in it?

What a surprise!  ANOTHER post from the genius editors of buzzsugar.com that has turned into a 50 Shades casting session!  I'm so in love with seeing post after post after post of random people's casting ideas!  It's especially awesome given that THERE IS NO MOVIE YET.  There is no director, no script, no funding, no nothing.  There is a producer on board.  That's it.The 50 Shades books are terrible.  The writing is terrible, the plot is terrible, and the characters are ESPECIALLY terrible.  They aren't even saved by being "entertaining smut" because there is other entertaining smut out there that is SO MUCH BETTER.  Do women in America honestly think so little of themselves that they have to fantisize about being in a relationship with an overbearing ass who wants to have complete control over every minute of their day?  Is this what we've come to?  The women who are flocking to this book - and worse, defending it as something profound and incredible - should be ashamed of themselves.

I think Liam Hemsworth or Chris Pine as Christian Grey, Ashley Greene as Ana, Chris Hemsworth as Elliott, Kim Cantrell as Mrs. Robinson, Taylor Lautner as Jose. Not sure about the rest of the cast. But I can not wait for the movies.

Leighton Meester fits the role of Ana Steele quite well!

@michele lee (I couldn't reply directly -dkw?). Elliott is Christian's older brother, but they are both adopted, and Ana makes it a point to mention that they are nothing alike. Plus, Christian mentions that Elliott is bigger than him. So if we go with Jessie Pavelka, Elliott has to be even taller, and because of his construction work, I would think even more muscular. Plus Elliott is a womanizer, and Collin has a 'goody-two-shoes' innocent look...in my opinion.

bloquacious I wanted to make sure you got this post: No, I'm correct. ETHAN, Kate's brother, is the "Blond God" as Claire in reception named him. Ethan comes to SIP to pick up keys from Ana after returning early from the trip where Kate and Elliott are taking an extended vacation. All of that stuff happens with Leila and then Ana and Ethan go out for drinks. The next time Ethan comes back to SIP - Claire rings Ana on the phone and says, "He's back 'The Blond God'" That is when Ethan and Mia are introduced and Ethan takes her to lunch for Ana....I got this one right on the money! Elliott never comes to SIP, only Ethan and Jose'. Elliott is Christian's adopted brother, and they are not alike at all...Ana makes it a point to point that out when she mentions how he 'cleaned' up for the wedding....check it out in book 2. I love the conversations!!!

@Brittany2828161 If you read the end of book 3, there is a 'sneak peek' of Christian's perspective. I heard that E.L. James put that in the book because she already has written the story from his perspective! I can't wait until they come out!!!!

@gala705 The books are simply for ENTERTAINMENT not ENLIGHTENMENT! You should not read fiction novels expecting some "higher" truth or power to transform your life.

I love these lists but it would be great if they included links to Amazon or the author's website.

@anabj  Haha, and while we're at it, a reviewer on Amazon armed with the Kindle search function (and undoubtedly the patience of a saint) uncovered the following:   Ana says "Jeez" 81 times and "oh my" 72 times. She "blushes" or "flushes" 125 times, including 13 that are "scarlet," 6 that are "crimson," and one that is "stars and stripes red." (I can't even imagine.) Ana "peeks up" at Christian 13 times, and there are 9 references to Christian's "hooded eyes," 7 to his "long index finger," and 25 to how "hot" he is (including four recurrences of the epic declarative sentence "He's so freaking hot."). Christian's "mouth presses into a hard line" 10 times. Characters "murmur" 199 times, "mutter" 49 times, and "whisper" 195 times (doesn't anyone just talk?), "clamber" on/in/out of things 21 times, and "smirk" 34 times. Christian and Ana also "gasp" 46 times and experience 18 "breath hitches," suggesting a need for prompt intervention by paramedics. Finally, in a remarkable bit of symmetry, our hero and heroine exchange 124 "grins" and 124 "frowns"... which, by the way, seems an awful lot of frowning for a woman who experiences "intense," "body-shattering," "delicious," "violent," "all-consuming," "turbulent," "agonizing" and "exhausting" orgasms on just about every page.

Im glad we all have our own personal opinions.. I loved all 3 books of 50 Shades. And I like the idea of a movie. Yeah so what some people are fu* in the head, but its different. I don't enjoy S&M but in the end it was worth it. E'fd up or not, its a good book. I wish they would Rewrite the story in his prespective.. I would read all 3 of those too!

@Anonymous 705 exactly my thoughts. I tried hard to give it a chancebecause I don´t like not to finish the books I start. But the first time he hits her I said: that´s it.

Fifty is a step backwards for all women . We are supposed to grow in a healthy Body enhancing our Brain and move forward meanwhile all u want to do is being a dumb ho rny animal. There is no more Humanity left, shopping, being unfaithful seeking the next big thrill, thats whats left for society. To make such tasteless horrible written Book a symbol of a new era shows exactly why America is doomed. Where did the educated people go because anybody with some intelligence can see how trashy this Book is, the way the characters interact made me grinch. I read it as Fan Fiction under MOTU but had to give up after the girl didn't run reading this contract. Who in their right mind wouldn't run but stay because the guy is Hot. I don't hate the Book but question about Humanity, I feel bad being a woman and having fun isn't associated with reading trash . Now a tirade of insults will follow , from calling me names and personal attacks , but that just proves my point. There should never be a Movie

OMG, I didn't know that Confederacy of Dunces was becoming a movie! That's one of my favorite books and ZG is a great casting choice.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a terrible book. It's been getting so much press lately that I honestly gave it a shot, but after about Fifty Pages of Grey I wanted to pull my hair out. The prose is puerile and insipid to the point of tears, and the plot is essentially a poor man's Secretary (2002 film starring Maggie Gyllenhaal--and hey, her rich boss' last name is, you guessed it! Grey!). I stopped counting how many times the author reuses the word "hot" and misuses the word "subconscious." I'd suggest everyone instead pick up a copy of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Stupendous book. The film comes out in September.
