Bravo Plans Real-Life Gossip Girl Documentary Drama Show

Would You Watch a Real-Life Gossip Girl?

Fascinated by the lives of rich and ritzy Upper East Siders like Serena and Blair on Gossip Girl? Why not watch the real thing? Bravo is developing a documentary series focusing on private school kids in New York City that's being described as a real-life version of the CW show. The show reportedly won't feature any specific school but will be a look at the lifestyle in general, and it seems to fit in Bravo's rich-people-show stable alongside Millionaire Matchmaker and the Real Housewives shows. Would you check it out?

Maybe...maybe not. But the reason I liked the show was because of the un realistic characters and bazzar story lines.

I love Bravo reality tv but this is too much. I drew the line at that flipping show they had. I loathe Gossip Girl.

I might check out a show like that if I saw it was on, but Gossip Girl is my guilty pleasure show, not something I want to dig into much deeper!Totally not surprised this is being brought up, though.

You had me at Bravo, Buzz lol. I'll give anything on Bravo a shot and living in NYC I would love watching another silly show about kids half my age with more money than I will have in my lifetime! Oh and I loved Rich Girls too, you're not alone Lexie

HA! Never. I deal with these A-holes 9-5 M-F. 99% of rich people suck, they feel entitled, and think the universe revolves around them and their silly requests. Next.

no, ive already got the city and the hills for that thank you.

Nope. So we could have a show like the Real O.C that would bore a duo like Heidi and Spencer?

I said I would watch, because I would. I like the concept and I would pretty much watch anything on Bravo. Since they got me to watch the Atlanta housewives, their hold knows no bounds. Plus, this is exactly how they got their Housewives series. I was actually thinking about this very thing yesterday. The hottest shows on TV then? Desperate Housewives and The OC. Shake and get The Real Housewives of Orange County.

I don't watch GG but I would watch a reality show with the same premise. I was one of a few who actually enjoyed MTV's "Rich Girls." I love to see how the other half lives.

Only if they can cast a character as delicious as Chuck Bass.

I watch Gossip Girl to see the attractive actors and actresses, the scandalous activities, and Chuck Bass. There's no way a real life Gossip Girl would be able to live up to the TV show.

I will admit to watching the WB Gossip Girl, but I draw the line at "reality" shows where "real" girls are encouraged to be backstab each other or plot and scheme.

Nope, I have no interest in this type of thing.

i might - but out of sheer curiosity that i live in NYC and i've always wanted to send my kids to private school (the kids that i'm going to have soon) and well...it would be great to see what some of it's like.

I feel the kids on CW's Gossip Girl might actually be less obnoxious and spoiled than real-life Gossip Girls. While I watch a lot of Bravo reality TV, they tend to feature some truly despicable human beings. I don't think I could handle a show centered on a bunch of entitled teenagers.

I want to say no because I think in real life this kind of scheming would be so ugly since the people wouldn't be as likeable as the ones on the show (think Laguna Beach) but I'd probably watch it anyway. I love to watch people I hate. :)
