BuzzSugar's Picks: The 2009 Oscars

BuzzSugar's Picks: The 2009 Oscars

OK, everyone, it's nearly time! The Oscars kick off in just a few measly hours, and Pop, Molly, and I couldn't be more excited to be blogging and Twittering the scoop straight from LA. I can't wait to check out what everyone's wearing on the red carpet and, of course, to see who takes home the big awards. Which is where this post comes in.

You have till noon PST today to enter my Oscar ballot contest, and with the grand prize of a year at the movies and five runner-up prizes of Fandango gift cards, there's really no reason not to enter. But maybe you've been waiting because you couldn't quite decide the likely winners in a few categories. Well, I'm going out on a limb and making my predictions. Below the jump, you'll see which films I think will win in all 24 categories. Ready to check out my best guesses? Just

Most of mine are the same. I chose Wall-E for original screenplay just because I'm hoping for an upset and Mickey for Best Actor. Plus a couple others. Basically, I'm being foolishly hopeful that the Academy will get over themselves a little bit. Although if they give it to Mickey they might feel more compelled to give the screenplay to Milk (but I could definitely see them giving the actor to Penn as well).

The only one out of these I've seen are Slumdog Millionaire and Wall-E...Slumdog Millionaire was absolutely one of the best movies I have ever seen, and it definitely needs to win everything!! LOL

Like your picks, Buzz. We agree on most. I do hope we're right about Sean Penn for Best Actor. He was wonderful in Milk!
