Chris Rock Hilariously Polls People Outside a Movie Theater in Compton About the Oscars

During a special segment during the Oscars, host Chris Rock went to his favorite movie theater in Compton, CA, to get a read on how the black community was feeling about the Academy Awards. Just like the poll he did during his hosting gig in 2005, he interviewed a collection of people outside the theater, asking them if they'd seen best picture nominees like Bridge of Spies or Spotlight, and their answers are as hilarious as they are enlightening. "No, what the hell is that?" is the response most give when questioned about films the Academy deemed the best and biggest movies of the year, although all had seen Straight Outta Compton. This certainly says something about representation in Hollywood and the #OscarsSoWhite controversy. Watch the video above, and check out Rock's wonderfully scathing opening monologue from earlier in the night.
