Citizen, Liberty, and Buzz Watch HBO's Recount!

Citizen, Liberty, and Buzz Watch HBO's Recount!

HBO's movie Recount is on tonight at 9 p.m.! Is it watchable? Heck yes! Citizen, Liberty and I watched it at Citizen's house — she concocted a drink called a "Hanging Chad" which was sweet, dessert-y and left a way better aftertaste than the original. Want to know what we thought before you commit to two hours? Here you go!

Will Liberty and Citizen have it out over Warren Christopher? Will Buzz strangle them for not stopping talking the entire movie? To find out,

.

To watch or not to watch? I'd vote for it. It's a well-done movie that will — mark my words — be up for awards when the time comes. Plus it's, you know, important and stuff.

Okay, okay, okay. I just found out that Recount was written by Danny Strong, who played Jonathan in Buffy! That is CRAZY!

I was happy with it! I'm so proud of the writer, Danny Strong, who really did his research and talked to so many people involved. A few wouldn't talk to him, but those who did had a chance to see the script and make notes about their characters. Danny says that while helpful, he didn't make all the changes requested..it would have painted people to nicely probably! I like the comment about how every news story is epic. How true, we never get the full story. Even if we read and read and read, unless we were there or talk to a ton of people involved, we never really know all there is to know about about a story.

im excited to see it, i was 17 when this happend and wasnt really paying all that much attention to what was going on. so seeing what went on behind the scenes should be really interesting. not to mention the movie has some excellent actors in it!!

I think it's still a bit of a sore point for some people in Palm Beach. A colleague of mine made a joke about that last week to a group in Palm Beach and was met with a lot of icy stares. Haha. At any rate, personally? I'd rather not relive that point in history myself... it was too excrutiating and frustrating. I can just look to the current election campaigns if I want to feel aggravated.
