The Coachella Music and Arts Festival Announces Their 2010 Lineup

Buzz In: What's the Best Music Festival You've Been To?

The Coachella Music and Arts Festival just announced their 2010 lineup. Jay-Z, Muse, and Gorillaz are serving as headliners, but the list of supporting acts is just as noteworthy with everyone from LCD Soundsystem to The Dead Weather to Phoenix. The big event isn't until April 16-18, but I'm already trying to figure out if I can swing it.

I've been going to the Treasure Island Music Festival for the past three years, and it's only continued to get bigger and better over time. But Jay-Z? I would love to see him at Coachella. My personal favorite festival experience was when I caught him at All Points West last year. It rained for most of the day, so the entire crowd danced in the mud to Vampire Weekend and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. By the time Jay took the stage to close out the night, people went nuts. I was caked in dirt when it was all over — gross, but a blast.

How about you? What's been your favorite music festival?

And for the full 2010 Coachella lineup (it's a good one!),

.

Come to think of it, I've never been to an actual music festival. But if you want a damn memorable concert experience, go see Gwar. HAHA

WHFS, a local radio station here in DC, used to have HFStival and it was fantastic. It was a one-day event (until 2001) in the late springtime and over the years I was able to see GreenDay, Foo Fighters, Wyclef, Goo Goo Dolls, Everclear, The Offspring, Bush, 311, Rage, Third Eye Blind, Good Charlotte (our local band that actually filmed one of their music videos at the festival), 3 Doors Down, Live, Linkin Park, Lifehouse, etc. It was fantastic!!! :)

I went to All Points West last year, too. It was a lot of fun, but by the third day, I was fully sick of the mud. I'm really hoping they do it again this year! (And it doesn't rain!)

I live about 15 min from where they put on Coachella so it's always a good time! I will say though that I was pretty disappointing with Prince when he played there.
