Jan 19 2016 - 8:55am

Didn't watch the Critics' Choice Awards [1] this year? No worries! We've got you covered with the things you actually need to know about the show. Let's be honest, three hours is a long time to watch anything, and if you're already burnt out from the Golden Globe Awards and the People's Choice Awards, you may have skipped this one. Take a look below to find out what you need to know and watch from the ceremony!

Jacob Tremblay Gave the Most Adorable Acceptance Speech

Lil' Jacob Tremblay won best young actor [2] for his role in Room, and he could not have been cuter. They even had to lower the mic, then hold it at a slant so he could reach it. It's impossible not to want to hug this pint-sized superstar.

Amy Schumer's 2 Speeches Were Fantastic

Amy Schumer cracked us up while accepting her MVP award [3], but then she won again for her role in Trainwreck. Both speeches are amazing, but she ran out of people to thank in her second speech [4], pulling the awards presenter in for some personal questions.

BB-8 Made a Surprise Appearance

If BB-8 is your favorite part of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, then you would have loved his unexpected appearance. The bitty little droid turned up [5] while John Knoll, was accepting the Genius Award on behalf of Industrial Light & Magic. Spoiler alert: BB-8 is just as endearing onstage as he is on the big screen.

Rami Malek Won for Mr. Robot

Mr. Robot fans, rejoice! Not only did the series win best drama, star Rami Malek took home an individual award for best actor in a drama. His speech was surprisingly inspiring [6], and his quote, "It's not just good to be different; it's better to be different," was maybe the most touching part of the whole show.

Master of None Won Best Comedy

Aziz Ansari's new series has only been on Netflix since November, and it's already proving itself a force to be reckoned with. Aziz Ansari gave a great acceptance speech [7], and it just reminded everyone that hey, we really all need to be watching this show.

T.J. Miller Was The Host With the Most

And last but not least, T.J. Miller was a hilarious host. The Silicon Valley actor dropped some memorable jokes on the audience, beginning by telling them: "I'm not going to Ricky Gervais this thing." Think a bit about a tough-to-open envelope sounds boring? You're wrong, my friend.
