He beat out Quentin Tarantino for Inglourious Basterds, Alessandro Camon and Oren Moverman for The Messenger, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen for A Serious Man, and Bob Peterson and Pete Docter for Up. it's really hard for me to pick between Inglorious Basterds and this; I'm happy though...

i feel like i didnt agree with any oscar winners that is why i was so dissatisfied with this oscars but again inglorious basterds was such genius in screenplay allowing each character to stand out with his or her lines.
