Ready or not, here it comes: the 2010 holiday season is upon us! To help you avoid the stress of last-minute shopping, I'm here to help ease you into finding perfect gifts before the good stuff starts selling out. To kick things off, I've got a few ideas for the most important lady in your life: your mom!
Eat Pray Love could be a great DVD to watch on holiday break ($21), or if your mom is a huge movie buff, she'll love you forever when you gift her with a year of Netflix ($108). Since my mom is still talking about the season finale of Lost, I plan on picking up a copy of the Lost Encyclopedia ($26). To pay homage to her undying love of the soaps, I might throw a CD of holiday tunes sung by ABC daytime stars ($15) into her stocking. There's also a new Bruce Springsteen box set ($85) for when she needs a break from holiday music. To keep your mom hip to what the kids are reading these days, I've plucked The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo ($11) and The Help ($15) off of the bestseller lists, but if your mother prefers to spend most of her time in the kitchen, she'll appreciate the MasterChef Cookbook ($13). Finally, you can celebrate the trials and tribulations of motherhood with a copy of The Kids Are All Right on Blu-ray ($28).
