Eva Longoria Takes On First Spanish-Speaking Role in Day of Grace

Eva Longoria Has Her Day of Grace

Eva Longoria is ready to head back to the big screen, and this time she's stepping up her game. She's set to star in Day of Grace, a Mexican film about kidnapping. Here's the twist: it'll be Longoria's first Spanish-speaking role.

I love Eva as sassy Gaby on Desperate Housewives, but I'm having a hard time envisioning her in a more serious role. (Over Her Dead Body probably had something to do with it). This could easily be a make-or-break movie for Longoria, but I'm impressed that she's expanding her range and kicking it up a notch. What do you guys think — can Eva cut it as a movie star or should she stick to TV?
