Announcing the Winners: The 2010 Golden Globe Awards

The Golden Globes show is over! The telecast wasn't as eventful or jaw-dropping as I had hoped, but there were a few unexpected wins, like Robert Downey Jr.'s Best Actor nod and Chloe Sevigny's award for Best Supporting Actress. I was less surprised to see James Cameron nabbing a trophy for Avatar, though I had a different prediction for Best Picture.

Several of the speeches tugged on my heartstrings, and I'll be reporting on some of my favorite moments of the evening later on (yay, Glee!). But for now, take a look at the full rundown of winners when you

i'm really glad that both meryl and sandra won! plus, the avatar? obviously! :p but just a lil bit disappointed in the tv category, no house? aww that's just sad!

I really hope Avatar doesn't win best picture at the Oscars. I mean, it was an entertaining movie, and very pretty, but it was also very, very rudimentary and generic in story and character development. It's a good popcorn movie, but it doesn't deserve best picture. I'm so excited for Up! I hope it takes the Oscar, too. I'm thrilled for Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, the cast of Glee, and Jason Reitman. Drew Barrymore's speech was so endearing - I haven't seen Grey Gardens yet but I was hoping she'd win.

Avatar? What the heck? I am loosing faith in awards shows if a big budget adaptation of Ferngully deserves this much.

Tonight's show was shocking, Chloe Sevigny, really? really? Mad Men again? I thought Nurse Betty had all the buzz.
