Amanda Seyfried must have enjoyed being on the run for In Time, because she's still hustling in the trailer for Gone. She plays Jill, a teen who thinks her sister Molly has been kidnapped after she disappears from their home one night. The police aren't as suspicious, but Jill has a conspiracy theory. Jill had been kidnapped by a serial killer two years prior and escaped, and she thinks the captor came back for her, but nabbed Molly instead. The cops won't believe Jill, and she becomes a target when she goes rogue and tries to track down the killer herself before he can murder Molly.
Gone seems like an interesting mystery, but it doesn't look like it's got any tricks up its sleeve (I'm even willing to bet that the killer is one of the nay-saying detectives). The whole thing plays out like an overdramatic crime thriller — Seyfried gets to utter the cheese-tastic line of "I'll sleep when he's dead" — but at least the cast has a few familiar faces, like Jennifer Carpenter, Wes Bentley, and Sebastian Stan. It's worth it to see them together, so watch the whole trailer after the jump.
