Once upon a time, Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro were kings of the ring — on film, anyway — and now they're back. The trailer for Grudge Match has the two as competitive boxers 30 years past their heyday and attempting a return to their glory days to earn a paycheck for a highly promoted fight. Old grudges die hard, and Razor (Stallone) and The Kid (De Niro) still don't know how to play nice. In Razor's corner, there's Alan Arkin as his trainer and Kevin Hart as the supportive buddy. In The Kid's corner is Jon Bernthal (Snitch) as the long-lost son come back to help his old man win the fight. Kim Basinger is also in there as Razor's main dish.
Listen, I know this is the feel-good movie of the holiday season . . . for dads, but I'm kind of into it. I love De Niro (the highlight of this week's new release, The Family), and while he and Stallone bring the nostalgia, Hart can keep it fresh. Plus, who doesn't love Arkin? The movie hits theaters Christmas Day, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.
