I hated the Deathly Hallows the first time. Went to see it with a friend, against my better judgement, again.Thi time I saw it in 3D. I liked it a bit better. I thought the fight with Voldemort was ridiculous, stupid, and anti-climactic. I despised the scene after that epic battle as Harry enters the Great Hall, no one cheers, or really even looks at him. Hagrad comes up, and hugs him and the disappears. What was that? Really, why even bother with that scene at all. It brought nothing to the movie. Interestingly, one of my friends who only sees the movies and has yet to read the books, (she's missing something!) Had no idea what was going on. I spent an hour post movie trying to explain it all to her. This will be the only movie I will not buy.! I had really wished for a movie that was at least better than mediocre...but that was not to be. Really disappointed.

I have now seen this 4 times. I was not overly fond of it the first time I seen it. I didn't care for the end battle, but knew they would have to pump up the fighting a bit more than what the book had. What I was really disappointed in was the end seen of the 3 of them outside coming to grips with what had happened and snapping the wand. I think it should have been more like the book. It would have been more emotional and of coarse stayed true to the book.

I went to an 11:15 am Saturday showing in West Los Angeles. One person selling tickets, one person selling concessions, theater slightly less than ¾ full. You miss the crazy excitement of a midnight show, but you hear the dialogue.

I loved this movie and we saw it at a midnight showing, but I agree with likethedirection I need to see it again after the crowds die down.

I really hated Part 7-1 and was really leery of this one, so was happily surprised. I agree the final 'fight' was awful, but I think that was to be expected - there was no way to make that an epic confrontation on screen.I had expected a fight fest, so I was glad that so many characters got at least some screen time and that the point about the difference between Harry & Voldemort didn't get lost in the noise. It was a satisfying end to a series that I thought had started to sag toward the finish line.

I was honestly disappointed the first time I saw it. The pacing felt off and the Harry/Voldy battle was really bad. (WHY did they need to grope each other's faces??) That being said, I went to see it again two days later, and knowing what they left out and changed from the book, and generally what to expect, I loved it. That last fight was still really awful, but otherwise, as a stand alone film seperate from the books, it was really good. Haven't seen it in 3D yet though.

I loved Harry Potter. I'm going to see it again after the crowds die down so I can watch the movie without people applauding and screaming and whooting everytime something happens.
